@@GreatWhiteLionSnake I personally love the type of chorus where it's very present but not that heavy if you know what I mean, but I haven't used it in ages so don't remember how you'd dial that specifically. His tone is better in Crying in the Rain than here. I think it's more compared to your average guitarist that probably lacks self-awareness of how bad their tone is lol, unless it's mostly intentionally and/or just not everyone's cup of tea like Pantera or Death. I'm 36 and pretty talented at guitar myself, comparable to this kind of talent, but around college I started to regret 2 years of grinding(4-6 hours even school nights and 8+ a day weekends) and I got to a point where I could play almost any Metallica solo, and could do the into to Trilogy Suite Op 5 on acoustic guitar(figuring mastering it on acoustic it'd be easier on electric) hitting ever not on time. But by college I realized I'd have to grind like that another few years just to get that 10% better, and be able to play more technical stuff Yngwie can play and wasn't sure I'd ever be able to. That, and playing at the talent show senior year, and how people at college would literally label me a 'musical genius' or see me like a guitar god, otherwise there was toxic envy, both made me really uncomfortable and both that and the kind of time I put into guitar made relating to people difficult. Also I was falling into the dreaded uncreative souless shredder trap hard, so I just decided to stop playing, ended up being around 16 years aside from a few times I tried getting back into regular practice for a few months. Around 30 I learned some of Still of the Night and the solo, took me 3 weeks just to memorize the solo, and after a few months I was maybe at half speed, it's crazy how difficult it is. But I think if I get back into it and stay consistent I could eventually do Crying in the Rain. After dropping out of college the first time(I was manipulated by family into it) I lived/worked on the family farm until 30 when we got rid of farm animals, now I work 2 other jobs and am saving up for my own house on family owned land so still living with them. But I was a functional closet alcoholic until 30, and at one point I ran out of money for vodka for 3 days, couldn't sleep a minute for 3 days and had to work all 3 days. I'm still crazy good at dealing with lack of sleep, I was only borderline having difficulty functioning the 3rd day. But I was JUST nodding off a minute before the alarm goes off the 3rd time, I got so mad I threw my alarm at the wall and punched my dresser a few times, ended up with a permanent right wrist injury where the outer part of the wrist joint is offset, more prone to carpal tunnel syndrome but IDK about arthritis. So I have to be careful not to overtrain and use finger weights and wrist splints on both hands at night to help prevent repetitive stress injury in general, but I think it'll mostly just slow progress, I'll have to lock my wrist and learn to play moving the whole forearm more and maybe blend that and wrist technique, but growing up I always used my wrist and developed the crap out of the wrist muscles, not even realizing that's not generally considered proper technique or even wise to do, my guitar teacher at college couldn't believe how I could play like that and was worried about it causing wrist injury lol, but I think as long as I'm careful and stick mostly to physical therapy to train the wrist I'm still good. I really need to save up for a proper great guitar and amp too, I'm thinking a Dean Zelinsky Tagliare Z-glide and a Boss Katana would be a great start, then eventually an all tube amp, maybe a Laney Ironheart which seems amazing both for metal but also a dirty blues sound, could be amazing for Whitesnake and Ratt. Then maybe a few Jackson Dinkies in natural oil with upgraded hardware just to get a few different sets of Bare Knuckle pickups in a great guitar for the money, love how the natural oil allows the body to breathe as it vibrates. Then an extended range multi-scale with some progessive rock/metal type pickup and I'd be pretty much set and build a home studio, will probably get a keyboard, bass, and electric drum set too as I've had piano lessons as a kid, I've always wanted a violin and know sax too so a nice sax would be really cool.

12 years late to this party, but man what a kickass cover! 'Still of the Night' and the hairband rock of the 80's was the anthem of my teenage coming of age years, and getting my first car. I remember blasting this song, Slaughter's Up All Night, Scorpion's Don't Stop At The Top, Def Leppard's Photograph, Van Halen's Dreams, Tora-Tora's Phantom Rider, and a plethora of others, driving to my first job, nightly. Damn... isn't it tragic that it isn't until you're "old" that you fully understand the meaning and wisdom of the saying "youth is wasted on the young".

I grew up in the time all this music was created. Your talent is beyond compare, watching your videos, I've been entranced and in amazement for the last few hours. Searching for a word that exemplifies what I think about your playing abilities, and I cant. Wow, amazed, dumfounded, blown away, just doesn't cover it. I got on you-tube to research some info regarding my new dirt bike, and well, I've been watching your vids. I haven't read anything regarding your training, or practice habits, and only minor quips about your equipment. Not certain if you consider yourself a technical, or feel type of artist. I suppose I relegate myself to watching re-runs of your masterful covers. In a selfish way, I feel almost cheated. Good luck & have fun on your journey. & thanks for sharing what you have thus far.

Great job, one of the best whitesnake covers I've seen on here. The ending fill was also a great touch. Keep playing!

Got this tagged as a favorite. It's brilliant Tylerbag. Love the add on's you put in. Give's it more of a personal touch. The harmonics and mutations on the 6th string, aggressive palm muting 3:23-4:00 volume controls, all nice work. All epic. I keep watching this as I practice my effort. The key difference? Mine isn't KZitem worthy, yours Sir, yours is. Keep playing mate. Keep playing.
