Oh my my my!! Just when you thought you heard it all from Whitney, she finds new ways to blow your mind. Guess i shd hve known better lol.This was pure magic, it sounded unreal. THE VOICE really has no competition at all. It's not just her tone, nor power, nor range, nor vocal acrobatics, it's the way she executes them with ease and purpose,every note is intentional and carries emotions.

I'm sorry, no one wanted any piece of her in her prime. Like Rodney jerkins said in his interview with VLAD: who's gonna take that seat? Notwithstanding the legends (Aretha, Gladys, Patti, Chaka). Oh lord, back then she was hitting high G/G#5’s and C6/C#6 … so easily. And you can notice how effortless she was on that third album. Songs like “Feels so good”, “Dancing on the smooth edge” , “higher love” are full of F5’s, F#5’s, G5’s, G#5. 10:33 her volume control was simply HUGE! She capable of executing the most difficult feats with no problem at all. She was a hell of a vocal technician.

I found this gem while watching a video of Whitney’s head voice thanks to Odumosu (forgive me if I misspelled his name) for providing the link. I swear I listen to this every day at least 5 times. This woman mastered her voice like none other. Her belting is beyond phenomenal. Her resonance is mind boggling. I love how you look at the screen while listening to Whitney-true adoration and genuine awe. That’s how we look too. Lol. This woman set the bar so high, others have no choice but to go underneath.

This right here was smack dab in the middle of her vocal prime. 88 to about 94 were her absolute best years vocally. So damn strong and clear. I was only born in 92 but looking back on performances now, it kills me to hear her voice slowly decline, with each performance it seemed like. This woman had a gift like no one else has or will ever have! Wish it had been better safe guarded. May she RIP, The Voice.

She was just the very best ever!! She had total command of her instrument and could do whatever/ anything she felt like doing, and that encompassed absolutely everything in a ‘bag of tricks’ that a singer could ever possibly do!! Pitch perfect and, oh man, if I started listing her attributes I would be here until the twelfth of never!! Gods emissary on earth!! She sang for Him, and He heard her!! What a privilege to have been able to witness every single moment of her evolution and journey!! I love her so much it’s ridiculous. And not just her voice…I loved her as a human being, faults and all (in fact knowing she had troubles made me love her even more!!) I miss her so much…😔

Whitney is THE voice of all voices. Having said that, this is not the original key. It sounds like the key has been lifted artificially. Her voice wasnt that high pitched in 90, or ever actually.

agree! Just as an idea, You could do a 1986 version and follow a cissy Houston studio version. It was in a interview, Whitney said her voice when it was younger sounded very similar when her mom was at the age of her. These two side by side clearly demonstrates how her mom’s influence on her(the tone, even the interpretation) The 1986-1988 era of the Sustained e5 is pretty incredible.

I love this song, she's always full on passion when doing this one. This version is terrible audio, I'd wish you would do another one of her singing this song. I listen to a variety of music: blues, RnB, hip hop, rap, country, gospel, jazz, reggae, rock, pop, opera-everything to do with music I’ve listened to, but when I hear Whitney singing I _always_ get goosebumps…every single time.

There's nothing more annoying than hearing the only praise people have for Whitney is her "tone" or big notes. She's not a one thing only vocalist, she sang like no one else in many of things todays singers struggle to master to a decent level.
