I'm so tired of every idiot claiming she was high in every interview. She's fine in this interview, smart, intelligent, and articulate. Also, Whitney's speaking voice has always been worse than her singing voice - she said it way back in 1987. SMH at all of these newly minted Whitney fans who haven't followed her career and claim she was always high when she gave thousands of clear, coherent, sober interviews.

I agree with you on this. Whitney really Loved the Lord with all of her heart. She left this world worshipping and Praising His Holy name. Kim Burrell made a statement that Whitney made her last phone call to her before she passed. Kim said Whitney was playing John P Kee's CD in the background and worshipping the Lord. So I believe she's definitely in The arms of The Lord. I don't listen to the negative things that people say about her because I know better.

You know what, I loved Whitney and I respected her as a woman. I also respected her ability to make her own decisions in life. She was no different from any one of us who are bosses and make our own decisions. Now, I would preface that with this, Bobby wasn't good for her but it was her decision and you got to respect that atleast. If you look at all of Whitney, her heart, her triumphs, her struggles, you can see a little bit of yourself in her.

Thank you SOOO much for posting this interview - a view of Whitney when she is happy in her life, in love with her daughter and comfortable with an interviewer. Intelligent, articulate, thoughtful, grateful, and real - all rolled up in one CLASSY lady! She really seemed to remove the "image mask" and just be herself. A pleasure to watch!

I agree with you. I'm a brazilian girl and after seeing some of her interviews I think the same. She was in drugs before Bobby but in a light way (what was bad also), however I think if Bobby didn't what he did with her and if he had took care of his life and career, she had stopped with drugs. Unfortunately, she loved him more than herself and it seems than her daughter. I still love her and I miss her so much.

Whitney came here and she conquered. She had a voice as big as the sea...that enchanted us all. Left us some of the best music ever. Left her wonderful likeness on film for us to enjoy and celebrate her life with when watching. I don’t look down on how she lived her life, it was hers to live! She enjoyed the party and had fun...then came that dreadful clock out time 2:11pm. (2012 hours). I only cry because I miss her presence in the music industry and times like this when I get a glimpse of her magnetic personality in interviews or on film. She’ll be back one day...and if it’s during my lifetime, I will recognize her in a heartbeat and we’ll all recognize her when she sings for us once again.

It was just so hard to sell MILLIONS of copies in those days. You gotta have real talent to achieve that milestone. I don` t like the fact that some people think that she´s high in every interview. Even when you have a drug problem you are not high all the time. Some people takes drugs multiple times a day and some people are doing drugs way less. Even if Whitney is high during interviews that does not mean that she was not a good and kind woman. Whitney was beautiful and she tried to be a good woman, take care of her daughter and being faithful to her marriage to Bobby Brown. I love Whitney, her personality and her amazing voice. Even now when she`s dead her music and her voice will live forever. :)

Have to agree with you. My prob with B.Brown has always been thay he is just a sorry excuse of a man and a husband. I wouldn't spit in the face of my worst enemy. It's just nasty. When i first heard she was marrying that. My heart sank. After he started beating her down emotionally & physically, she started escaping more. It's no wonder she said she just wanted to love and be loved like Jesus loves. She was talking unconditional. That man did a number on her with his mugly ass.

@VivWardRegBevWil I feel the same way. They just haven't followed her like most of her real fans that adore her have. I guess they've heard alot of bad publicity about her. I looked over that for many years. I don't think she was high. I've seen interview with certain celebrities high and they can't answer a single question correctly. Even if she was, so what. Everyone struggles with something in there life at one time or another. I bet they couldn't last for 2 min in her shoes
