She didn't want to make a grand entrance. Whitney knew she was the SHIT and understood her divine assignment on this Earth: To inspire and motivate others with her God-given talent and be a living testament both believers and non-belivers. That was her way of showing us that she's a human being and deserves to be treated accordingly. Even though her vocal talent was undeniable, she never wanted to be treated differently from anyone else. She kept reiterating, "We're family, right?" We should all be ourselves and not pretend to be something we're not. She didn't want us to tell her who she was. She already knew that who she was. She wanted to show us who she was.

The "Just Whitney" album is so amazing but, sadly, so underrated. There's no secret in stating that all of that was caused by the negative media coverage during this phase of her life. I'll always love Whitney Houston, no matter what. She was a genuine soul and an unmatched talent.

Whitney felt deeply, she had no classification, she created a new one, called music without color. This woman told you, she did not know how to sing white or black, she just knew how to sing...she sang!!!! She created the NEW SANG WITHOUT COLOR!

Such a great album! Just horrible timing. The album didn’t do well because it was overshadowed by her drug use and erratic moments in the media. Just Whitney was way better than I Look To You in my opinion. I miss this lady sooooo much! ♥️🥺

Agreed. Her 2009 album was okay with some bops and powerful moments but this 2002 album was good from front to back. Just Whitney still managed to go platinum though.

You could hear a pin drop in that room when she started talking about Clive Davis. There was a time when they did not get along. But by 2004 they were buddy buddy again. She looked great here though! Looked like 80’s Whitney!

I don’t recall them not getting along. I recall them having disagreements but never to where they weren’t talking. In fact, he actually helped her during the period when he left the record company and Bobby. But they stayed for a short period and stopped

As for timestamps, I don't care enough to let you know exactly, but I'm mostly referring to her arrival and the way she took her shoe off. Her voice in the opening few lines sounds madly rough also. Now you demons go find Jesus :)
