Jez doesn't seem that much. I wish she was still here. Look my opinion but she was done away with. Something never seemed right. Yeah, she's not singing, but that's not because she can't, but many people dont understand the audio and acoustic part of TV production in regards to a live performance. You just cant have the cameras rolling and have someone sing the same way they are taping people just talking--different. Its 3 times as difficult for the audio and production team to tape for a live performance, if a crew isn't properly trained for that, it can be a disaster. So, they just have a vocal guest just lipsync--its way easier. Soul Train did this for this reason. Also, it's easier to book guests because they don't have to have multiple rehearsals--which may inhibit them in booking a guest as the guest may not have time.

This was definitely lip synced, you can tell by her mouth and movements. Not to mention, everytime she was on Wogan she lipsynced. (i think it was the studio's fault she couldn't sing live).

@@madimariah On a lot of shows in the 80s it was lipsynch only as they just didn’t have the technology. It was never the choice of the singer. We know our Whitney could have knocked this outta the park live :)

But what about 1960,1970 most of the singers san1g live in there but the technology were less advanced. Not hating on anyone but idk what you meant by the technology on 80's being low and most of them lipped cuz of lack of techs while previous decades had less tech ckmoared to 80's but sang live 90% of the time.

This song came at a time in my life when was dating a guy I met while in Germany and when I returned to the states I was love sick and we talked on the phone once a week .The love was undeniable .He surprised me one day and he called me and he sounded close and he was at the phone booth across the street .I was so freaking happy .My mom told me I was going burn in hell for being gay .I paid her no mind .And that was 35 years ago and we are still together .

Agreed our generations taste in music is horrible honestly. The only "music" most people in our generation is heavily autotuned rap. When I mentioned Whitney to one of my associates they laughed and said nobody listens to her anymore she's too old. Yet when I showed them a performance of Whitney(didn't we almost have it all 1987 live NYC to be precise)they were left speechless 😌
