That ebisu boom wasnt LZ's fault, but it was definitely his doing. Like you said he showed how obtainable this dream actually is. Now that so many people have obtained that goal and the prices have gone up and the rules are more strict it seems like its unobtainable again to do it for the price LZ and taylor ray did it for, those days are long gone.

It’s so funny seeing Ebisu during matsuri, ever single person is a foreigner, not one local in sight! Jimmy and Grant did it right coming early, they saw the real Ebisu. I think watching this I would want to go in the off season.
@shona5512

Who cares if they're foreigners.. When you're dooring a driver are you thinking about their nationality? It's all about the driving. Whether or not they are local is irrelevant, as everyone is doing the same shit no matter what. Get a cheap car, throw it together with cheap second hand parts and go shred.

Great video Jimmy! I appreciate hearing other people's experiences, I would love (if I had $ laying around) to get a car and join everyone for a Matsuri, it looks like a blast, and I'm sure with a lot of great help I would learn a lot about drifting. I've been trying to save money, and I'm hoping to buy a Japanese imported car (in 2024) because of the stupid high prices of brand new cars in America. with any luck, I hope to start my own journey on building/modding, etc.. I know I'm late to the game at 35. But i hate feeling left out haha. Can't wait for the next video's, have fun and be safe!
