_And,_ Yan did the same thing to Aldo, and Aldo’s on this list. Imho, Yan is _the_ Best Striker in MMA. Obviously, Izzy has the best “credentials” with his Kickboxing career… But, if we’re talking “Who has been the most dominant/successful with their Striking, _in MMA”_ - Izzy is not even close to #1. He got outstruck by Jan, he got outstruck/should’ve lost to Whittaker in their 2nd fight, _and_ he got outstruck/should’ve lost to Romero. He also got rocked multiple times by Kelvin, and apart from the end of the fight-they were basically even in a fight that was almost entirely stand-up… His striking against Vettori was not dominant at all; He basically just won that fight by landing a few leg kicks each round. The only dominant fights he’s had with his Striking were against Costa, and the first fight against Whittaker. Yan has been WAY more dominant with his striking, he’s never even lost a round definitively, _and_ he’s been fighting better fighters. Even Volk has been more dominant than Izzy.

Zabit trained in Sanda style, so that's probably why his kicks are pretty fancy, ONE Championship Team Lakay also made their fighters fight with Sanda style. Probably the style will be rising in the future MMA fights considering it has kickboxing+wrestling rules. I hope Zabit can fight again, he hasn't fight for almost 2 years, it would've been very interesting fight against Yair. Zabit wrestling is also high level, I've seen some of his wrestling analysis too. He is super well rounded, packaged with Max Holloway cardio, he will be unstoppable.

@@henryposadas3309 Of course, the kicks are TKD like, the punches are boxing like, the wrestling did came from Shuai Jiao though but you can't really say that it's simply because of it's influenced by MT,etc that made it good. The kungfu practitioner also contribute to the growing Sanda community, especially Choy Lee Fut style. The rules also made it good for MMA, you can't continously punch in Sanda, you have to blend it with kicks or you won't get points. Zabit competes mostly in Sanda and also he gets to the same school as Muslim Salikhov, so I'd say Sanda is what made him like that.

If you're watching a Wonderboy fight. He does his round kick and kind of leaves foot turned and hip out. He usually waits for the opponent to come in and he side kicks them or like does the kick where he raises his leg like slaps their head in the opposite direction. I'm not describing this that well. I don't know the names but he lures a lot of guys in that way. It leaves him vulnerable though if he's being pressed by a grappler. It happened a lot in his last fight. Zabit's background is wushu sanda. It is basically kickboxing with takedowns. You mentioned his kicks, yes, the have to be much faster, with less pivot, than those of Muay Thai for example, just because in sanda everybody's catching kicks. Every wrestling technique is allowed, sweeps, judo throws, double leg, single legs, so if your leg is caught, you're flying. The most decorated Russian sanda fighter is Muslim Salihov, though. He has official title called " The king of Kung Fu" .He also fights in UFC, a middleweight. He is going to fight pretty soon I think with Michel Pereira. Banger of a fight!! To me Adesanya is the best rn in terms of results. And Zhabhit is 2nd bc he definitely has the most potential he just hasn't fought enough yet. If Connor had kept his old style it's very possible he'd still be the best but as I said that's a big if.

I'd say Giga Chikadze deserves an honourable mention.

Zabit is a monster but I think he might have actually retired early for some reason. He never lost a fight or suffered knockdowns and is insanely skilled so it’s a bit of a mystery.

He might come back soon. Previous he had diaphragm problems and needed surgery.
