Gagauz are one of the Turkish tribes living in the southwest of Moldova and the western parts of Ukraine, which have not lost their national identity despite their conversion to Christianity. Thanks to their introverted lives in an environment where no one but themselves spoke Turkish for nearly 200 years, they have survived to the present day without assimilation. Gagauz people also set a good example that societies that protect their own language can live for centuries without losing their identity. But how well do we know the Gagauzs? Do we know where they came from and how they became Christians? In today's episode of our 10/10 series, we will look for answers to 10 questions about the Gagauz Turks. If you are ready, 10/10 of GZT begins!
