@@nadlax5920 much of the area was populated by a Caucasian race but because of all the invasions was mixed with Indians Mongols and other races you can still find traces of it but only the Hindu pandits tried to keep away from mixing with other races Muslims were mainly persecuted by all the rulers who ever came and had to think more about not starving to death. Kashmiri's were made to forget about their identity, ethnicity by the later authorities controlling the region and absolutely scrubbed off their military history from the books people who tormented them, were made heroes in their text books and even today with a Hindu nationalist party of India controlling the region they want to turnn it into a Hindu region eliminating the Muslim and ethnic threat altogether, or as one of their leaders recently said after stripping us of the semi autonomous rule we can marry their white women now. One rarely sees a ethinic kashmiri walking down the street nowadays and Europeans let the worst things happen just because we are Muslims.

Pakistan never existed before 1947. People who cannot live with others are racist. Kashmir is but a linguistic province of Indian subcontinent. Only few Muslims from J&K have problem, fascinated by fascisist '2 nation theory'. Germans, Jews and whole humanity had to pay heavily with such ideas. Similarly partition of India on the basis of religion has proved disastrous. Rather than solving any problem, it has created unending problems.

Mason, you have opened a can of worms on this one. In keeping with the rights of self determination, the Kashmiri's ought to be whom they decide to be. If the region were not rich in resources, there would not be 3 nations fighting over it, but those nations have resisted the rights of Kashmiri's to decide for themselves whether to be a part of one of those nations, to be divided, or to become an independent state. The UN ordered plebiscite was never carried out, and instead this continues to be a source of power plays and strife primarily between India and Pakistan, although China is not without blame. The 70 years of continuous conflict have changed the demographics of the region significantly, so much so that some even argue that a plebiscite would be pointless now. I however still hold fast to that self-determination principle, and would like to see the people make their own decisions.
@rajeevsingh8239
6 жыл бұрын
The Call Up as per UN resolutions, plebiscite can only be held when "Pakistan vacate and demilitarize the region and hand it over to India, after then India has to held plebiscite" but honestly now there is no meaning of such UN resolutions as in Indian side people from Jammu and Laddakh are not interested to join pakistan at any cost and secondly, pakistan has already pampered the demography of its own held kashmir by settling pakistanis in entire region to counter the votes of Jammu and Laddakh of Indian side whenever plebiscite takes place. Its not acceptable as India has still respected the norms and never allowed to settle indians from other states in Jammu and Kashmir. 😁
@The_Call_Up
6 жыл бұрын
I did acknowledge that the demography of the region has changed significantly in the intervening period, that includes both inviting settlers, and people from the region leaving it for safer ground. I'm not taking a side by saying India did this, or Pakistan did that. Both are at fault for putting their own national interests ahead of those of the indigenous inhabitants of the region. I do agree that the UN ordered plebiscite will almost certainly never occur but that does not mean that the governments of India and Pakistan can not come to a compromise that respects the rights of those indigenous peoples to self determination.
@Aws895
6 жыл бұрын
You are wrong no demography has changed. It is what it was in 1947. Only proportions have changed because of creation of two Kashmirs. Yes Kashmiri Pandits who form 3% of population of Kashmiri valley have been displaced but they are still citizens of Kashmir and still vote from their ancestral places.
@rajeevsingh8239

The Call Up Government of India recognizes Jammu and Kashmir as integral part of india and they get every facilities as other states of India and the Indian side is much more developed in terms of education,healthcare and infrastructure than pakistani held kashmir. But irony is kashmiri muslims are clear that they don't want to be ruled by Hindu's i.e. India and they don't want development and democracy, they want Sharia and Islam. Indian held kashmir comprises of 60% Buddhist dominated Laddakh, 20% Hindu dominated Jaamu and 20% Muslim dominated Kashmir. India has 2 options either keep whole part with itself or give pro india Jammu and Laddakh to pakistan to get slaughtered by islamists as they did in kashmir with Kashmiri pandits during 90's. 🙄 I was born in Jammu and i don't want my homeland to become a part of pakistan at any cost. Pakistan can stop sending terrorists that would be enough to normalize the situation and further dialogues can take place to solve the matter. 😐

I suspect that an attempt to return Kashmir to independent status might be the more sane course of action. A video on the Mirpuri diaspora to Britain would be a good topic for you to cover. I despair for the Kashmiris generally, the land would be better off in India and the Hindus population needs strengthening but I guess the majority are Muslim and even if they got independence would be swallowed by Pakistan. Maharaja Singh should have made up his mind before the partition and maybe this wouldn't have been such a thorny issue nowadays. A Kashmir independant of both Pak and India would be ideal. It could be the Switzerland of SE Asia, as could be Nepal.

You missed the main point: the organization of the 7th Buddhist conference by Kanishka the great ruler of Kushanas who divided the Buddhism into Hinayana and Mahayana. This happened in time before 6th century AD. That conference was a mega confluence of all races, both practicers of Buddhism as well as seekers of buddhist religion to embrace. That changed the entire game tilting balance of power to Asia. Only After that their great King Lalithadiyta emerges after several centuries later when his grandfather embraces Hinduism. Besides, there are legendary Sanskrit works like the Panchatantra owed to Kashmiris. Also there is mention of the Kashmiri King in Battle along side Duryodhana, the Kaurava commander in chief in the Mahabharath. Besides the Amarnath Yatra carried out by the great sage Shanakaracharya (due to who there is a mountain known as Shankara hills in Srinagar) is recorded with awesome miracles like the walking of Sankaracharya and all his 20 disciples on water, over the leaves of Lotus and crossing rivers after rivers all across Kashmir. All this apart, Kashmiri pandits today remain as the only ethnic community who sing the four Vedas-Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharva in Kashmiri and vedic accented chanting practices. Thus Kashmiri Pandits (Hindus) are the only community of Hindus in North India who have this character preserved of singing the Vedas. Besides them, only Kannada and Telugu people in south India have full fledged scripts that allow for the perfect description of all of the syllables found in the Vedas. So Kannadigas, Teluguites and Kashmiri community is ethnic Hindu Celebrated vedic descendants in whole world. But Kannada and Telugu languages have a close counterpart in Pakistan by a language called Brahui, yet the former two have stern addiction to vedic practices. Despite all this and many emerging inscriptions found now and then in the Sharada script all across Kashmir, the state government is bent on showing lineance to its islamic neighbour Pakistan by incorporating Urdu as an official language of Kashmir. Though Pakistan is murdering Shia muslims across all territories using Saudi fundings (pampering Sunnis) and American weapons, Kashmiris being only and wholly Shia Muslims are brainlessly jumping into a pit of death traps of Pakistan. Now, Chinese is about to replace Urdu in Pakistan as the official language, but people in Kashmir are vexed and whole India is waiting for their response to this development.

Why do Kashmiris should belong to any of these countries? They look unique. However, they look more like Afghans than Indians. At the end of day what matters is the culture' what is their culture and religion? In that region you are being discriminated if you don't share the religion.

My grandparents on my mums were kashmiri refugees we live in the UK and I am English with a mixed kashmiri and Welsh ethnicity primarily but I've always wanted to be able to go back there one day and see the land my grandfather tells me about so fondly that he was driven from by war and greed. Kashmir belongs to no one but those that lived there and the few that still do. But its beauty is now overshadowed by its geographical value that locks it in the soul crushing clutches of corrupt foreign governments backed by corrupt foreign superpowers.

Just for your information and knowledge, Kashmiris are happy in the Pakistan part which has no conflicts with Pakistani government. On Indian side is where theirs a lockdown as most Kashmiris want to be part of Pakistan or independence but never want India to rule. Indians are migrating in to its occupied Kashmir to depopulation the Kashmiris to vote for independence. But Indian governments won't allow referendum votes to Kashmiris.

It is extremely dishonest of you and also intellectually dishonest of you. It makes me wonder about the exaggerations and agendas in many of your other videos. Nice video. And omgthe lady in pink looks like my polish cousin! My family must be seriously mixed with the people mensioned in the video, and/ or Mongolian and Turks or Pacific Islanders.or all of the above, seriously... Because my siblings and parents are just different and so like many Polish people are super different from each other have different looks, noses , hair complexion and major looks /features etc.. ! Poland is generally very very diverse when it comes to how people look.... a lot of them look a little as if Persian Scandinavian and Slaves And Mongols mixed all together. some look Scandinavian With darker complexion, some pure Turkish or Hispanic , Some Persian, some have milk blond white hair but very dark complexion, anything goes there ...Some look jewish or Arabic but in with light brown hair and blue or green eyes as well... All goes... It is no such a thing as the "polish look" anymore. Back in the days the Blonder people lived closer to the Sea in the North, and Central and South Poland people looked Asian slash Arabic origin or Slavic/Asian or Mongian. Now all of them mixed and you no longer see the same type off faces..., just generally women have big eyes and narrow lips not small lips just not wide, and heRt shaped faces or well defined chins or jaws. No idea why. That factor I suppose has survived somehow ffrom slavs. My siblings and parents look very exotic and I have many polish friends who looked also different medditerannean or much much darker and different than what the world knows as standard "slavs". There aren't many people naturally blond in Poland actually. Still some but it is rather raresi.cethe northern Polish people mixed withthe central and south Poles. But if they are they dont have a pale skin like they have it in Finland or Sweden. Intrestingly Some people say that Polish women look scandinavian or Irish but with darker complexion and more big almond shaped eyes or asian eyes. Go to Poland and see ! You will not see similarly looking faces !

Europeans according to geneticists are the most diverse group on the planet. They were the first to recognize that cousins, sisters, brothers, etc were not the best mates. Sadly royalty was exempt, cousin marriage continues in the middle east and even worse in sub sahara regions. (there are even some peoples who never figured out that intercourse equals baby)

The Amarna letters allude to a strange people, known to Egyptians and others as the Saka, Askuza, Gamera, Gomri, Omri, Scythian, Cimmerian and others. They have been pinned to a group of people who came out of the ancient Assyrian Empire, north to the Dariel Pass, through the Caucasus Mts., and traveled north and west into Europe. Kashmir, should be a free country the way it was supposed to be. As for their phenotype, I bet its some founder effect related to the first steppe pastoralist migration into the Indian subcontinent which probably brought Sanskrit to the region. Indeed, ancient myths of the Kashmiri are related, but early divergent , to what would eventually become the Vedic traditions. It has been discovered recently that modern Indians are basically a mix between a northern population and a southern one. The northern one is related to the steppe people, which probably looked like modern northern Europeans, while the southern population was a mix between the original inhabitants of Iran (probably looking like middle easterners) and a population related to the modern Andamanese. I bet Kashmiri lack the ASI (Andamanese) proportion in their ancestry, meaning that they are a product of the northern migration before they reached the Harappan sphere of influence. Nice to see this channel is getting traction. I believe that as we become more interested in the nuances of human history, we will be in a better position lot to dissolve the pernicious phenotype-ethnicity association that has promoted so much tribalism lately.

Though also you can see an “proto arayan” also going on.I’ve seen so many very fair Kashmiris. Blue eyes. Ginger hair sometimes. Tucked away in the vale of Kashmir nestled in the Himalayas. My friend is half Persian Jew. Though my age and grew up here from one year old, born in Tehran. Wow, a breathless romp through history to "prove" the version you prefer, ie. the Eurocentric academic one. Perhaps you didn't know about the Out of Africa study by the Genographic Project which was funded by IBM? It shows that, after humans arrived in India from Africa via the Nile valley and southern Arabia, the spread of haplogroups actually happened from India outwards and not from the outside (mideast, central asia, europe) into India. The dominant genetically accurate model is "Out of India". Today’s European or Western Eurasian haplogroups are not European in origin but are in fact Asian in origin. So the "Kashmiris" you mention here were the forefathers of modern Europeans, not the other way around. Also please note that the name "Kashmir" is Hindu, as are the names of all the major cities including Srinagar, the capital. All of these people were Hindu before being converted forcibly.

@@specialrelativity4606 You're wrong. The markers found in Europe simply mean that the strains traveled FROM India to Europe. The OUT OF INDIA theory has been proved and closed. You of course are free to hallucinate all you want.
