This video was filmed in the evening of April 2024 at Jardim da Flora (Flora Park) in Macau. This was my first visit after so many years. I never thought the park still kept primates until I browsed the renewed website of IAM (Macau Municipal Affairs Bureau). As soon as I learned that the park, which is quite accessible from where I live, has a group of Rhesus macaques, I immediately visited the zoo to see them. I don't know much about Rhesus macaques, and I don't know how many of them are kept at this park in total. I have zero knowledge of their background story. I just started filming these beautiful creatures. I would like to find out more about them as time goes on. I will do my best to identify each individual as much as possible, so it deepens my understanding as well as yours about the species. In this video, the macaques are having meals. You can observe how a Rhesus macaque eats its stored food from its cheek pouch. They have beautiful red buttocks with Their fur is gray and brown. There may be some individuals of different species or hybrids. I am waiting for IAM to reply to my queries. I hope you enjoy the video.
I am a bit concerned with the fact that the park is now open 24 hours a day to the public. This will be against the animal welfare of the primates and other animals living there. I hope the bureau will take the necessary measures to ensure the privacy of the animals at the park.
我有點擔心公園現在每天 24 小時都對外開放。 這將不利於靈長類動物和生活在那裡的其他動物的動物福利。 希望該局採取必要措施,保障園區動物的隱私。
