This was insightful. The transport industry mustn't be exploitative. It can make sense because in reality if matatu are more enticing fewer city dwellers will use their cars during weekdays= less traffic jam. Granted it's a systemic crisis

If people had more of such kind of conversations with these guys in the matatu industry, they would understand and be more empathetic to how these guys act on the road...not because they want to, but, because they have to do it to survive...a failure of government for letting public transport go into private hands with little regulations and no employee benefits & unions like abroad. Good stuff.
