It was 2 big afros for that episode. (lol) She was still sporting a natural hairstyle when she played "The Oracle" in "The Matrix. Watched all the shows from the seventies!!! Honestly grew up in the midwest & watched all the black films that were out in that era... didn't grow up with that RACISM in my white midwestern home!
@motherlesschild746
3 жыл бұрын
I wonder where you grew up then? I grew up in the birthplace of KoolAid, Hastings, Nebraska during the 60's Civil Rights period. I'm Black. Though I consider myself very fortunate to have been raised in a small town with a population that was approx. 98% white, it afforded me an excellent education and established many lifelong friendships with white people. I still can not say I grew up without the overt presence of racism. I remember burning crosses, being told to leave white church congregations, being teased in school and other acts of discrimination. Though they weren't as overwhelming as what I watched kids my age go through with dogs and fire hoses on TV, it was present and traumatic. May I ask, are you Black or white? If you were white then I would say you just didn't know or recognize it or chose not to acknowledge it but racism...it was there. Maybe you grew up where it was 100% white. I dunno. But it's always been everywhere in America. It's the major thread woven so taut in the fabric of the nation it will never fray. If you were Black again I'd say you didn't know or recognize racism or chose not to acknowledge it, but I find that hard to fathom. If you didn't you were one blessed person.

Clarence luv u so much. I am still stock that u pass away. But all in all u made a difference for me in my early teens. When Mod Squad came out u set the tone for the black race in the 70s. As well as taking it into the future. Luv u my brother and your made a difference as well. Luv u both, will never forget the both of u!💞
