I heard this song for the first time when visiting Maui in ‘96. ItI played on the radio, and I nearly drove off the Hana Hwy, I was laughing so hard. When the DJ said it was Don Ho, I couldn’t believe it. I’m guessing this wasn’t performed to the mainstream tourists.

Maopopo au. I know Maikakeaumoe. But i know hawaiian and Paka is cigerate no matter the contents inside that cigerate could be weed or tobacco. And lolo is also brain. I believe that idiots like you maikakeaumoe would translate this word Pakalolo to stupid cigerate. But the meaning is deeper. Pakalolo refers to the brain because of how it affects the brain unlike tobacco cigerates. No laila hamau i na 'a'ole maopopo 'oe.
