First off yes I'm a packers fan. I have nothing but respect for Aaron Rodgers and am thankful for all his hard work and effort that he's given the packers. Now that being said I agree that it was time to move on. He turns 40 this year and the pack has to make a decision or not to pick up loves 5th year option. We need to see what we have in Jordan Love and whether or not he is the future of the team. After all no one knows year to year whether Rodgers will still want to play so I believe in the end this was the best move the team could make.

He had 1 weapon and everyone knew it. They knew who to cover. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe you’re thinking of the defense choking because they’re the ones that gave up points. Along with the coaching. Why did we have Preston Smith covering Jefferson in week one? That’s not Rodgers call. The choking thing is real old. Anyone who has ever played football knows this. It would be very interesting in New Jersey if Aaron Rodgers is there for two years to both get his sunset run for the Super Bowl but also to be that Veteran Player example for Zack Wilson. let the kid sit behind A-Rod, give him time to develop and then give the reigns back to him.

Zach Wilson is already a diva, what is he gonna learn from Rodgers. Oh I know, he will learn how to put the blame on everyone else.....oh wait he already does that. Maybe how to throw bad passes and throw his receivers under the bus, nope he does that already. Oh I know he will learn how to choke when the game is on the line, oh he already does that too.

If a 39 year old Aaron Rodgers couldn't beat Detroit at home to make the playoffs what makes people think he will be Good with the Jets??

I feel like the ravens really screwed the plan a bit signing obj to a ridiculous contract, obj helps Lazard slot better as a 3/4 option. Maybe they can grab a te also

Lazard is a blocking receiver then he turns around and theoretically catches a ball. Sometimes he is a good check down option...

If you look at the draft chart, it is equal to a 3rd round pick. So they got a 2nd, 3rd, and probably a first next year. Pretty good haul for a 40 yr old qb.

Win (or loss) for both teams, depending upon performance. But yah, it was time for ARod to move on. And yah, NYJets can now be a contender. We'll see. Nobody knows. But I think GB got a good return.

I live 30 minutes from Green Bay, we're glad this trade saga is done, but make no mistake, we love Rodgers here, and we appreciate what he did for Green Bay. We will welcome him back with open arms to retire here and put his name up in the ring at Lambeau. This is not like when Favre left, and the fans were pissed at Favre for how he handled all of that, and wanting to go to the Vikings to stick it to us etc... Packers fans STILL haven't forgiven Favre, and I'm one of them that thinks Favre burned the bridge on the way out of Green Bay.
@drust488

I disagree. When Favre left the fanbase was split. Many people were really really pissed the Packers didn't welcome Favre back, some fans were ready to move on. With Aaron nobody is angry and most people are happy it's ending. I think there's a reason for that.

Packers got a 2023 first round swap, early 2023 second round, 6th round, and a first or second in 2024 for a guy who wasn’t going to play for them again…. That’s an absolute win.

While I understand the logic of making the trade, Rodgers is maybe a top 6-7 QB in the AFC at this point in his career. The teams that aren't rolling out a whole bank to pay their QB have a massive advantage, namely the Bengals and now even the Jags (easy division, 2nd year with Doug P and added Calvin Ridley) not to mention the chiefs and bills who have plenty of talent themselves.

Win/Win, yes Sir. Now we get to finally see Aaron play with 1st round Offense talent and a Good {not mediocre} Defense. And now see who was the problem in Green Bay. Im gonna say its Gute's drafting and Lafluer's lackluster play calling and keeping Joe Barry at Defense. Enough making excuses for Jordan Love, too. He just doesnt have IT.
