Yeah, you say that might be a waste of hay but in the long run, it will benefit the ground with helping control the mud and it will also give the animals something to graze upon. It’s well worth it it’s not a waste it’s the benefit the ground and your life stock.❤❤❤❤

Hey Dan'l... with all the downed limbs all over the property, I'm surprised you don't snag a chipper/mulcher and make a huge pile of mulch and use that to cover all of the heavy traffic areas to combat the mud. DeJay's pup sure is a handful. At least she's out there "helping" mom during the clean-up session. LOL Sasquatch opening those gates I'll bet.

Ouch that had to hurt. Need to clean that up and check into tetnus shot. May need stitches... Can go with liquid skin but id go with clean up and if deep enough go with butterfly closing and gauze bandaging unless really deep... Then stitches or skin bandage. Just have to be sure to clean good. If not that deep just keep clean and bandage up to keep dirt out. You don't want infection. Keep in mind you are going out in a barn yard

Even after large bales became the "thing" we stayed with the small round bales. Had hay lofts in most barns, complete hay barns, and even storing outside they could be protected better, less spoilage. Like Dusty, every fed bale was unrolled. With a few hundred in each pasture it gave every cow a place to eat with the bullies being left out of doing their thing. And each day it was in a different section. Where cows eat they also leave free manure.

If you think about the old grass roofs from years ago. Would work good for years. The round bales are baled way tighter than they did the roofs! So they shed water really good! Funny story I was working some fence, and a turd floater came, and I was where we stacked the round bales. So I thought it was a good, to crawl in between the bales! It was like a funnel, I think I got more wet, than of I stood in the rain! Lol Fun times! I wish I was still that age!

Daniel you can spend money on toys for your dogs. Those that are the indoor variety. But they usually go for the least expensive thing that just makes a lot of racket on a surface. My old dog Belle(she actually became my ex-wives dog) loved taking 2 liter soda bottles and nosing them around the floor between our kitchen, formal dining room and the living room.
