Clint Dempsey basically single handedly got us to the quarter final of Copa America in 2016. I refuse to believe that a squad full of players that are close to that level (if not higher) couldn’t have at least gotten us there. Shambolic result. If it were any other coach, he’d be gone the day after the Uruguay game.

This is their best chance. Let's be honest, other international teams aren't looking as great as previous generations, and last gens legends are on their way out. Most international teams are in a transition period. This is US best chance, and are pooping the bed. Also, they rely whay too much on pulisic. If pulisic is shut down, the US attack becomes halted, which isn't good. I see why Reyna is going to Nottingham forest, bc his performance is non existent. Seriously don't ever see him involved with play. Weah making dumb decisions and balogun only gets the ball if pulisic feeds it to him. It's pitiful.

From what I have seen so far I believe it’s time to find another coach. I personally question the scheme fit and the defensive identity of the team. They play like a team that doing their best to hold on at times and are less talented then other teams. I don’t like the way the midfield plays and how we often don’t use the middle of the field. Usually causing a disconnect when changing from defending to attacking.

After watching this last copa America, I see 2 things. 1 Berhalter is trying to count on the talent rather than actually coach and make a team identity. 2 we have a lot of similarities to Belgium as in a lot of individual talent, and playing for “big name” clubs, yet don’t want to actually work together to be the best they can be. Firing Berhalter will obviously fix the first issue, but I personally believe the second issue is bigger

I think it’s not a bad idea to get a new coach. Do I consider the Argentina team that won the 2021 Copa America and 2022 World Cup better than 2010, 2014-2016 Argentina? Maybe overall they are a little better, like in defence. But their attacking stars or the main guys like Messi and Di Maria are much older. A 2018 Messi with the 2022 World Cup squad is gonna put every game to bed easily. So what was the main difference? The coaching, Argentina are weaker than most winning teams from previous tournaments or whatever. But their chemistry is through the roof. The USA have decent players, a lot play in Europe with good roles. If they wanna change coaches after 6 years, then that makes sense. Argentina only had about 2 years together (2019, 2021) since Covid 2020. With the right coach they could really do well. It’s like how less talented teams in the euros have overcome more talented teams. A coach that can make their team play as a team can have their team go on deep runs in tournaments. There’s already some tension going on with the coach and players after what happened during the 2022 World Cup and gio reyna.

First you have to fix football in the US! Sure it helps having skill but the national team are so hard to manage because almost none of the players play with each other exept Germany they have an advantage since there are tons of Bayern players😂 Where was i? So they need a person to connect them all together and make a game plan for the players. Not all the managers can do that since the normal job of a manager is to either make a plan around one or two superstars or find players that are most suited for their speciality plan😊

The value of the players is outside of Berhalter and he was the beneficiary of the massive shift in talent. The issue is he has underperformed substantially with it. I wouldn’t call the job he’s done as “pretty good,” I’d call it decent relative to the standards set previously with much worse rosters. The team is now regressing as those players are getting closer to their prime years, which is an indictment for the job he’s doing. It has been well past time for him to go.
