This really did happen. The boy amazingly survived that day as Goeth was merely amused and started chuckling before telling everyone to get back to work. The boy would end up surviving the Holocaust entirely as he was a "Schindler Jew." That's how we know this story as ole Goeth... shall we say ... wasn't available for interviews... All he wanted to do was, ya know, hang around 😁

Schindler as the film presents him wasn't a real person and the book was a fiction novel. The movie is based off of this fiction novel. None of these events or people are real. It's a very egregious dramatisation of history with near zero basis in fact.

@@jamestravers9864 Reminds me of the Budd/Dwight(?) suicide on live TV in the 70s. Guy was going to jail for fraud/embezzlement and instead of going peacefully he was a broken man already so he took a revolver out of a manila envelope, put the barrel in his mouth, and pulled the trigger. As soon as he hit the ground so much blood was pouring out of his nose, it was like a literal faucet of blood turned on. Exactly like in this video. Anyway, it was a sad ordeal as it later came out that he was totally innocent. The guy who implicated him was found to have lied. The video can be found easily. Fact for those that don't know: Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot" was based on this event. It was pretty messed up as the guy was a well liked guy, really wanted to make a difference for the better. @@ent1311 those camps didn’t go to hell until the war turned on Germany. They were designed to get the J’s settled into Palestine via the havaar agreement. Which was prompted by actual zionists from the Balfour declaration. Plus a lot of claims of J’s being gassed took place in rooms with wooden doors, not air tight seals. Lots of authors have covered this and have had numerous threats against them. Basically this film is anti German/European propaganda. The holdomor committed by Soviets killed close to 5 million people but yet its hardly ever mentioned in pop culture
