Son was sent with another scout for a night of survival practice. 1 AM a huge storm started. The scout leaders came collecting the boys to return to main tent camp. My son and his friend said, No way! We're warm and dry in here (their survival hut they made) . So proud he's capable. 😊

A lot of work to have a drafty, uncomfortable shelter (?) which has high potential to flood when rains come, and may gather water from shallow ground sources even in dry season. If you like to freeze while sleeping sitting up on cold, wet stone and enduring wind whistling through, this design may be to your liking.
@rickscherr1102

Two major flaws here the way I see it. Sorry but there’s no way in hell that roof is going to keep out the rain. Secondly, what were you planning to sleep on?
