China complaining about USA and EU markets increased tariffs , while keeping their own market fenced from the outside competition with their own set of tarifs, if you want to be treated fairy then you need to open your market to the products you can not compete and remove current tarifs to exports from USA and EU, because at this moments China wants all the advantages of free markets but none of their dissadvantages, if you protect your market from external competition is fair that USA and EU does the same. And protections have not only the tariff form, the "if you want access to the China market, you must produce here and transfer your Intellectual property and know How to a shared ownership factory in china where you only have a share of 49%" this is grossly unfair too, but china does not complain about this "practices"

you do know transfer of IP is practised by Japan, Korea, Singapore too right? Lol. Plus it was US who agreed to the terms to have manufacturing in China. It’s like crying about your own grave you dug. Don’t want access to China markets? Don’t manufacture there. Likewise, while China has complained about the tariffs, they have alr moved on and are planning to be self sustainable in all key areas by 2030 lol

China is open market. Volkswagen had 30% of their market share till last decade. One of the top most selling ev in china is tesla. So these tariffs are just a blocker for people in western world to get better cars for cheaper price. Chinese EV regulations are far ahead than Federal standards in US and Europe.

@@mohancgr China is whatever you want but an open market, it's only open for products where they are very competitive, volkswagen manufactures cars in china, but if you try to import a German car from Europe, any brand, you get 25% custom duty on the import, so not so open at all. I will gladly accept a 25% tax on EVs comming from China, instead of the current 10%. And about better cars at a cheap price, I fully disagree not cheap and definitely not better, I have already driven a MG here where I live and the look is good, but the quality is poor, and not sure about how will the car withstand the pass of time. And the chinese EV regulations, I know nothing about it, but I promise you that if I get a EV car from China and my wife or my son dies due to an accident where the airbag has not been opened due to low quality or the battery car fires itself with my family inside, as I see it every day in news chanels from china, I will go directly to the port of Bruges and Antwerp (about 400.000 EV Chinese cars parked there waiting for a buyer) and I fire myself the whole parking lot. So definitely not cheap at all, my family is much more valuable than a cheap chinesse car. But you can drive your family in a EV chinese car, I will not opose you doing it.

When you flip things around, everything makes perfect sense when comprehending the US narrative. China over-capacity = USA non-competitive or USA under-capacity.
