That looking at you, paying attention (while on walks or parks) is so critical and not easy to train into them either. Great dog!

I do the same with my Dobie in my backyard but once he's walking with me his job is to check his surroundings, be vigilant to protect his master! 😅😅😅

I had a VERY dominant male dobe. If you didn’t exercise him you were not going to have a relaxing evening. I bought a house with a big back yard to solve that problem. I’m not joking.

I do something similar for agility and getting a quick training session in. I just put a stuffed animal and other stimulating dog toys at the end of a 10 foot rope and swing it around for my girl to chase since her prey drive is incredibly high

That’s all cool, but I don’t want my dog constantly staring at me when he’s in a heel position. When my dogs are heeling, they’re on the clock, work has begun, so they need to pay attention to where we’re going, not at my face.

What do you guys use for training as i watched another guy on YT all play and obedience and then started to show bad pulls on dog’s neck, 24 h fasting and supplements given to make the dog hungry and so on… i have a Frenchie and is so stubborn but i do not want to abuse him
@CanineRevolution

Great question, we use a Balanced training system with a lot of food rewards in the beginning to teach the dog the behaviors we are trying to achieve and then as time goes on and the dog progresses in training, we will begin to reduce the amount of rewards given until we are on a random reward schedule. This makes training fun for the dog to do as they are getting a positive experience out of learning new things.

@@CanineRevolution thank you so much for your reply as i kind of lost hope anybody takes their time actually working with the dog especially after seeing today the videos mentioned above where in one of them the guy uses his all body weight to pull a dog wearing a prong collar. I use the reward method , treats and play or toy, but i am not a professional. I think abusing the dog will only make him insecure.Thank you so much for the reply

@@CanineRevolution would you guys have any courses or something like that because i’m in UK and don’t think i can bring my dog to you😅😅😅. Also your dogs seem pretty happy to play and even on command don’t look stressed.

Of course! Using all of your body weight on a dog with a prong collar is the wrong approach to training. Feel free to message us on our facebook or instagram pages if you are interested in getting your Frenchie trained!
