The avocado is native to America and we have always eaten it like a vegetable as a side dish to meals. I add salt and lemon to it and love to eat it with chips and burritos. If anyone is shocked it's us! Something got lost in transplantation from America to Asia.

As a Filipino, I always thought of avocados as "dessert" fruit. It took quite a lot of getting used to putting avocados on savory things. Guacamole sounded and tasted so weird when I first tried it. You can also make this into ice candy/Popsicles. My fave ice cream back home is avocado.

As mexican, we use avocado for sauce, guacamole and overall to eat with savory food so to me seeing avocado in a milkshake or with sweet things is strange. Never tried anything sweet with avocado in it, my brain says I shouldn't hahaha

I’m Filipino, too. I grew up making avocado shakes for dessert, too. It was so simple: avocado, milk, and sugar. As I got older, it was always a surprise to me to hear that people never had avocado as a sweet flavor.
