Real life is real. I raised 4 kiddos and I felt like I was never finished picking up toys and doing laundry. I know it's exhausting but what I wouldn't give to be back in that season of life again. My mother always said " Lay down cobwebs, dust go to sleep, for I'm rocking my babies and babies don't keep". She had a sign on the wall with that on it, so very true! Enjoy every minute bc they grow so fast. Claire is so stinkin' cute, I can't! ❤

Here’s a tip I learned too many years too and it’s simple, men don’t offer to help in the house that often so while u are doing 1 task has your husband to clean the high chair, move old high chair to garage or start folding laundry, etc.

Oh girl…..”after two months you finally decided to put the laundry away”…..🫣🙄 My question is…..why couldn’t he take the initiative to help out? Nick got a good work out in with a few belly laughs and some scrolling on his phone while you were cleaning. 🤦🏻♀️

Please understand this is about 4 hours of our life in a very very short video. Nick does his fair share. We all deserve a veg out night and this was his. Laundry for my clothes truly is a nightmare and I’ll admit it. He can’t help with mine because you can barely open my drawers and he wouldn’t even know where to put it so it’s my own fault on the laundry 😂

Never ever beat yourself up for being real. Parenting is the hardest job out there...especially keeping up with a toddler while working full-time. So glad Nick is a helpful husband and Dad. Love the way y'all banter with each other 😊. Last, what in the world are the Eagles doing 🤷♀️

Genevieve, you are a mama of a 1 year old you have a job and a husband and a home to take care of. You need to show yourself some GRACE! This is real! So many youtubers ONLY show the decorated, renovated and pretty areas.... Thanks for being real with us... I am a non "neat" person... been married 44 years and it used to be a bone of contention with my husband, but for about the last 10 years he just lives with the clutter. I have found out with laundry what has helped me GREATLY is to fold my laundry ( towels and underwear) on the washing machine then put them away immediately, the same with the hanging clothes,,, I never hardly ever have piles of laundry like I used to... I know it is much different when you have soiled baby clothes and extra laundry from sickies, I have many other issues with my home but laundry is not one of them...

Hello friend! Wheww I know exactly what you mean! I love to wash my clothes & get them smelling nice, but I hate folding/hanging & putting them way🫤 It only takes minutes but its just annoying🥴 Seems like most of us feel this way. I bought a pillow back in the spring & paid $25 for it.. its horrible! Wayyyy too firm & flattened in no time!😳 I keep it standing up against the headboard, behind the ones i actually sleep on so of i want to prop up it isn't so uncomfortable against a hard headboard. At our home in Tennessee the bar & island in the kitchen were always the problem areas, the were always the catch all areas, especially the island. And the coffee table too sometimes. The house back in NC it was always the table. We had a living/dining combo so everything went straight on the table. There's always somewhere around the or in the kitchen that catches everything 🤷♀️ Another thing i hate doing I'd unloading the dishwasher.🫤 Honey I truly think kids are built to choose playing with random household pieces over their own toys. At that age my daughters fav thing to do was sit in front of the cabinet i kept can goods in & take the can & stack them or get a couple pots & lids out & put the lids on & off😄 Give her a little longer & she'll love riding her horse for longer periods of time. My dad bought my daughter one for her 2nd Christmas, which she turned 3 in February. But it was huge, like i could ride it! And it made galloping sounds & neighed. At first she was A bit timid but one she warmed up to it, she'd literally have it bouncing or sliding across the floor😂 Kids are just so funny! I enjoyed spending this evening with you, just chatting away about whatever😊 Pray you have a blessed week!🙏🏻

You accomplished a lot!! I loved the conversation with Nick about bringing home the armoire! My husband and I have had that exact conversation many times :) Someone told me once that when it comes to clutter, your goal should be to only touch things once, it really helps me a lot. Take mail for example, on your way from the mailbox flip through it and the stuff that is junk goes directly in the trash, not on the counter so that you have to touch it again to get rid of it. The rest goes directly in the bill drawer. My laundry room is so tiny, I have to put my stuff away. You do a great job of just jumping in and getting stuff done. Once Claire is a little bigger, you can get one of those little booster seats that sits on a regular chair, no nooks and crannies, and she just eats on the table. High chairs are just the worst!

Mine would have never liked me including him in the videos. Children do change things a lot but what would life be like without them. Hope you slept like very good after all that work.
