Lamb on a spit is something that is difficult to remain indifferent to. We all love roasting, and we have tried to explain in the shortest possible terms the detailed process of preparing lamb for skewering and roasting.
Our lamb weighs 13 kg, and probably the most important thing in preparing the roast is how much salt to put. We spent about five kilos, by evenly salting the inside and outside of the lamb.
We baked it for about 3 hours and covered it with lamb's tissue. There is also a practice of attaching the handkerchief directly to the lamb, but this time we did it this way.
