Hello! Can Pyrex glassware which can withstand high temperature be used? Becos it’s glass, it might not trap heat but might brown the bread even more. Appreciate your feedback, thank you!

Hi, Since this recipe calls for a very high oven temperature, I would not recommend using a glass baking dish for this recipe.

465° is TOO hot..the bread will burn on the bottom...450° is as high as you need to go

I think the temperature settings for baking in an electric range oven is different (perhaps higher) than that of a gas range oven.

You can bake it in any loaf pan that is safe in hight baking temperature, but the cast iron dutch oven traps the heat and moisture, contributing to the delicious crust.
