MOTHERS NEED SUPPORT. Young Moms and old Moms. If she needs a break, they should support her by caring for precious boy so she can see friends, twice a week for example. All new Mothers are vulnerable and need support. Her boy is just like mine with all that hair. This Aunt is unbearable, nagging b, no wonder this young girl needs to get out for a bit. Getting this for her whole life. She did the right thing by letting her baby live, knowing she loves him, wants to care for him. Sitting with the baby all day is work, it is doing something, it is productive, it is nurturing, teaching him how to sleep, how to eat, loving on him is enough. No one supports or values a Mother being a Mother. No one. Doesn’t matter what age of Mother.

Intresting... my mom gave birth to me when she just turned 16. I am 35 now, perfectly fine. Never felt uncomfortable about that. Both of my parents got kicked out of their houses (with me) when I was born. I was told that for about a week they lived on the street. I have a great respect for my father, he was 21 at that time. This situation forced him to get a job...which 20 years later made my parents dollar billionaires. My father said that he had a strong feeling of responsibility after I was born, so he quit the antisocial behaviour. I went to the most prestigious and expensive private school on this planet. This life is interesting and sometimes can an an-expected twist. I am not sure I had the best childhood (before the age of 6), but it was not bad. And while this was happening I experienced the collapse of the Soviet Union. Born in 86 and collapse was in 91 I must say that by itself crippled a lot of people in Russia. I never really even realized that giving birth month after you turn 16 is not normal, until I was around that age myself.

Actually only 11 states require just notifying the parents when an underage girl wants an abortion. The other states require some form of parental consent and involvement in the process. It is unlikely that this under age girl had the means and opportunity to go through with an abortion. Sure nobody guided her to give birth, but I can almost guarantee you there was nobody helping her with alternatives.

She needs a break seriously & please stop with the “give the baby up for the adoption” or “this is your fault” because at the end of the day if your close to her you should be the one to help out and simply just as a mother her mom should feel the need to help her with the grandchild. She will lose her mind one day if she doesn’t get a break and that’s why many moms become angry!

If she is old enough to open up she legs, then she is old slough to take responsibility. It is no one else’s obligation to care for this child, but her. If she can’t take care of the child then a family member or someone else can adopt it. This is the harsh reality of being a single teen mother.
