V strom has enough power to tackle mountains and pillion load, but the problem is it becomes livelier only after 5k rpm and by that time you will be around 90kmph. So initial acceleration lags with pillion. But if you love to tour on a motorcycle with a descent speed and to tackle bad roads then v strom is well blended motorcycle. It weighs very less, mileage is over 42-45 and handling is like a regular street bike.

I have done the stiff mountains of munnar with pillion and 14kg luggage on top rack(wordt place to put weight on stiff mountain). And I wont say it did amazing considering stiffness, but there was no loss of confidence when i see any stiff roads. [Note: the default engine oil of esctar r7000 is best. I tried motul 300v but you will lose engine traction, gain smoothness]

Aaj ki date me v strom se koi comparison nahi banta.. vstrom 2.30 lakh me mil rahi hai ab sabhi discount maarkar.. aur 390x 3.42 lakh me ..

Nice Over view - still i have some doubts 1) is it vibrate on lower rpm especially in foot pegs 2) heat issue 3) stalling issue 4) after 120 is it wobbling?

1) yeah little bit, but you feel vibrations in the headlight area when RPM is low. 2) No major heating issue after 1st service 3) After 1st service it works fine, 4) still not ride above 110

Bro nice review..but one thing i hated about dominar 400 is , its low end torque in city have to ride it in 1st gear which has emense power and in 2nd gear it's engine be like gear 1st pe la.. so heard about the same for adv / standard 390 also! Can you please clear this point.. and efficiency you told 32 in city but bhai itna kaisa dominar toh 20ka deti hai

yeah gear box is not smooth, starting me issue lgta tha but ab easily manageable. and yeah average is good. in highways it gives me 34 to 35 and in city with heavy traffic 29 -30 is minimum.

Bhai aisa nahi hai ki bike ke Electronics problem dete hai fail kewal sensors ki wajeh se hote hai mere pass bhi Adventure 390 standard hai aaj tak jo ek do baar problem hui hai wo kisi sensor ki wajeh se ya galat rising ki wajeh se hi hui hai.

Bhai Dominar mein low end torque better hai Adv 390 se. Aur yehi cheez riding ko zyada mazedaar kar deti hai. Dominar ka engine tractable bhi, so no need to shift gears constantly. 390 mein to niche ke rpm mein power hi nehi hai. Aur looks mein personally mereko Dominar 400 zyada achhi lagti hai, kyunki 390 adv ka looks mereko pasand nehi aati hai. Aur highway mein yeh added weight (which is not a problem at all, once you get used to it) works in favour of you which gives superb stability and confidence, even in cross wind situations. Yeh sab dekhte hue hi main Dominar opt kiya. Aur mashallah, what a fun motorcycle to ride. No offense to Adv 390, which is also a superb bike in its category. Lack of low end is the main issue with this bike according to me.

390 have more power and vstrom sometimes feel lacks in power if you ride with pillion. if you ride solo than vstrom 250 is a very good choice.
