Tony Khan is the biggest problem with AEW right now and it's very clear that he's never going to get better. The only solution is for him to step down from a role he's clearly not fit for, which also doesn't seem like it's going to happen. So there's not really much anybody can do.

That’s the best description of Tony Khan. He probably played GM mode for hours on end back in the day and now thinks he knows how to book wrestling. He doesn’t and it shows. TK’s idea of good booking for a PPV is putting two good workers in a match with little to no build or story behind it, and then he crosses his fingers and hopes people will be interested and buy the PPV or get tickets to see the show in person. It’s a shame because I always wanted AEW to succeed. They may have never beaten WWE but they had the roster, financial backing, and TV deal to at least be competitive with them in the future, and they blew it. By they, I mostly mean Tony Khan. It’s really depressing because Bryan Danielson is doing some of the best work of his entire career, and yet so many wrestling fans aren’t even watching and are disinterested.

I think there are a lot of problems with AEW that needs to be fixed. I like AEW as an idea, however the talent is being shared too much, and the locker room doesnt have an authority figure. He has an entire roster with plenty of championships, but only 40% of the roster is used on TV. No one watches Rampage, the women aren't trained enough and barely get TV time, and ROH is on AEW, but it should really stay on ROH, which should be on TV. Plenty of problems. I also think this is a lesson where we should tell Tony that AEW is not competition through WWE. That's how WCW died and TNA almost failed.

One big issue I have is the complete lack of tiers. In almost all wrestling organizations there are upper, mid, lower cards. Your upper card wrestled upper cards or the occasional mid card guy that’s become super over and is getting a push. Upper cards would always crush lower or mid cards otherwise. However in AEW it’s seems to be no tiers honestly. Tony wants this “anyone can beat anyone” vibe and it’s killing him with his booking. Tony will book one of his most popular wrestlers to have a random match with some Joe blow mid carder that nobody really cares about. Then for stupid reasons this match will be a nail biter that lasts 20 minutes that has the popular wrestler winning by the skin of their teeth. WHY!?!?!?!?!? This is a complete waste of time for everyone involved involved. The popular wrestler comes off looking weak and loses credibility. Nobody gives a shit about Joe blow mid carder. And the match leads to nothing. It makes zero sense to have had the match. I feel the poor booking has killed the momentum of all of AEW’s best talents. It’s killed rating because so much of the show ultimately means nothing.

Imagine using the negative cesspool that is Twitter to revolve around how your company is doing. It's Twitter for god sakes, what the hell is he expecting? And it doesn't help that he is also one that shouts into the same void himself, only he takes it personal when people criticise the decisions he makes. He himself garnered that crowd by making AEW, you pull fans into your brand that you personally want to have and push everyone else away that don't agree with your view on things. He's basically surrounded by "Yes Fans", that will defend him to the day they die, otherwise you will be seen as one of those negative people that trash AEW. Critisism isn't bad, it hold you accountable. If 3/4th of your fans base isn't coming to your shows anymore, it should ring some bells that something should change to make it exciting again to want to go to those shows. The no sense matches that get put on, just to fill TV time isn't helping the case, because they don't matter for any reason, except the stupid ranking system in a predetermined wrestling show. It's more to artificially boost their win and loss record numbers. I couldn't care less if they have 90-0 or 20-8 if all they do is have squash matches for 8 weeks to get to those. It's a bit of a rant, I know, but damn. It's literally like a child building his toy wrestling league and getting offended by anyone that says something about it because of him being insecure about it, who will then make an angry Twitter post and having a meltdown. It's childish, it's not funny if it's ment to be, it's kinda sad really. He seemingly didn't learn that you can't please everyone and you shouldn't, but the fact that he tries and trying to be seen as a great business man and a friend to all on his roster, it makes him look weak and not a leader, especially when things need to be handled like one. The Punk press conference would've been the perfect time to step in and put his foot down, but he hasn't, he let Punk go on his rant and Tony just let it happen. That showed exactly what people needed to see how much of a leader he is, even after Punk left, he could've said something but no.

Welp this is depressing. I want AEW to be a secusses, to be a viable alternative to the WWE, to be WCW when they where good. Maybe growing up while wrestling was nuclear bomb hot spoiled me as the choices where great. I miss those days.

If aew is gonna make improvements then here’s who should run the promotion instead of tk: Bryan Danielson and Adam Copeland Recipe for best possible success for aew To anyone reading this, just take a moment to really think about it…Bryan is one of the best wrestlers right now so he’d know how to keep an up and coming talents momentum going by letting them climb the ranks in their division and Adam is a great storyteller in the wrestling world so he can come up with some entertaining feuds that would get more ppl to watch aew tv weekly

@ProWrestlingBits ''Hate'' is a strong word. But I got something to ''hate'' about Tony Khan. I hate that ALL of the BLK Women on AEW Dynamite have been losing for five weeks straights. Queen Aminata has lost four matches straight since Debuting on Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. Red Velvet has lost two or three straight matches, too. Kiera Hogan is also on a losing streak. 🤨🤨All of their loses have been against their ''other'' counterparts, including Thunder Rosa (Since her return, what's up with the Blond Hair look?). The pay must be good for them to just lie back and take loss after loss with every passing show. The BLK Women should walk out. But Tony Khan will probably trash them on social media like he did to Big Swole (Tony Khan was disgraceful for his remarks). PLEASE ! ! ! Make a video of what it has been like for BLK Women in an AEW on any of the three shows as of late for 2024 ! ! ! 🤔🤔

You're complaining about lower-carders losing matches? Didn't the longest undefeated streak in AEW come from a black woman? Aren't half of the current AEW Tag Champs and 2/3 of the current AEW Trios Champs black? @@JohnKobaRuddy Khan isn't Indian.

I never liked AEW but at least early Dynamite had soul and a unique feel, with wrestlers you wouldn't see elsewhere for good and for bad. Now AEW is just ex NXT and old tna and wwe guys, with the originals they have being completely stale or sawdusted

This isn't a Vince is better post. Vince is a monster that should be thrown in jail. But man I dislike AEW and can't really watch the product due to Tony. At least when Vince or others say something dumb it's in one interview. Tony will rant on Twitter for days. Shit on people and then tell you to watch his show. And his show has nothing I can grasp onto and people who have wrestled in front of some out 20k stadiums on a weekly basis chants about how much better AEW is in a half empty arena.
