Been a fan of John Cooper since 2005. Always been happy with him and now as a more outspoken and bold believer I have never been prouder of his ability to speak truth loud and clear. The Lord has been using him greatly for years.

Makes me extremely happy to see two more young dudes out here working for the glory of God! I just began my men's boxing club/ Bible study. Our generation needs more men like you! Keep it up!

They be mad because Coops tells the truth and makes no apologies for it. And bless him for that, it's in short supply. Who's have thought, that the ONE band form the glorious 90s who would stand up in the great tie of apostasy would have been Skillet!!! The metalheads - and yet, it absolutely is so. What a legend.

John Cooper is now one of my favorite artists because He’s the only one standing up for truth in our twisted world of depravity. Skillet and Jeremy Camp, I’d travel out of state for both of them, and see them tour

Would 100% agree with both of those recommendations. Both guys are solid.

This reminds me of a sermon I heard from Greg Laurie. "If you have a different opinion than God, you should change your opinion."

Enjoyed this video! Huge skillet fan here. Love the stand that Cooper is taking. I’ll be starting my own podcast in hopefully a few months. My main focus will be raising the next generation in the footsteps of Asher. I’ll be calling it “podcast 7:40” based on 1 chronicles 7:40 where it speaks of Asher and his legacy of raising a generation of 26,000 decedents who were “choice men” “heads of their household” “heads of princes” and “ready for battle”

I have known about Skillet for many years now but I've always thought their music was corny and bland. This podcast was the first time I learned that Skillet are a Christian band. I've seen them live but always opening for rock/metal bands or at rock/metal festivals. Now it all makes since. But with the style of their music, the bands/tours/festivals they play with, the way they dress on stage/in press images I never would have guessed they were Christians at all.

Their early stuff and some of the most passionately humble devotional Christian rock out there. They're very evangelistic.

Because people would rather be accepted than accountable. I fell off the Skillet train in 2017 but am so thankful and impressed that John has not only kept his faith but let it burn uncontrollably while plenty of rot has taken over ALL forms of the Christian lifestyle from church to music to how the Bible is interpreted in classes and even in leadership.

Because after being judged himself for being in a band that plays secular gigs, he now judges other Christian musicians. He should know better. Reaping and sowing.....

As a former panhead I can say my issues with him involve bibliolatry, seeking earthly power over The Beatitudes and teachings of Yeshua, hating on trans, bi, and gay people, straw man arguments, mischaracterizations of "the other," etc. He thinks he has the truth yet doesn't even accept evolution. He went on Kirk Cameron's show. 😂

I watched a couple of Skillet videos out of curiosity today. That is some really bad music. I can understand how a 12-year-old whose parents won't let him listen to secular music would think this is cool. Not really anyone else.
