Yeah, this video is still valid... I did however make a somewhat updated version, based on Q&A for RedBubble: kzitem.info/news/bejne/w6hqsmaJipx7Y5g And good luck with your puzzle desire LOL I love designing puzzles, but didn't really like what i got from RB (yet to make a video on it), I personally prefer Zazzle over them, or Society6- which has been the most amazing puzzle I have received so far from a POD supplier.

Nice video! I’ve been selling on Redbubble since 2018, and seen so many people make the mistakes you mention (and some that weren’t mentioned, like not putting commas between tags!), it’s kinda soothing I guess to see others complain about it too 😅 I'm gonna subscribe now :)

Commas !!!! It’s so nuts, my original field of expertise is SEO and while making this video I had like so many seo comments, but didn’t want to overdo it - and I forgot the commas !!!! So thank you for putting it out there :) I will def remember this comment when I make a video like this - on Etsy lol

Mey, I love your videos & can't get enough of them. I agree 100% with everything you said, especially regarding copyright infringement & correct grammar. It drives me nuts seeing so many sellers blatantly ripping off Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, Marvel, etc. I wish there were better QC checks in place that prevented these designs from even being uploaded. One of the reasons I love watching your videos so much (& respect you as a content creator) is because I have never seen you use any movie or tv clips that are copywritten. Just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean it's right or legal, especially if your YT channel is monetized. Once I see stolen content like that on anyone's YT channel I give a thumbs down & click the "don't recommend channel" button. When I get the prompt from YT as to why I didn't like it, I reply back with "copyright infringement". I was a professional wedding & portrait photographer for years & don't have an issue reporting people who clearly steal. All you can do is all you can do. With regards to the grammar...OMG...YES! I had a girlfriend in high school who had atrocious grammar ("I seen this" or "Guess who I seen yesterday?" ) who went on to become, of all things, an English teacher for developmentally disabled children. (*eyeroll*) I have been following you for about 2 weeks now, binge watching your videos & am ready to launch my stores. I've niched myself down to one main popular concept but can do hundreds of variations of the same theme without repeating myself. I googled the idea & so far, nobody has done anything like what I am planning to do so hopefully this will take off like a rocket. I decided on RB & Society6 as my only 2 venues. Once I have them up & running, I would love to send you the links & have you review them when you are able. Blessings to you & yours...keep up the awesome work! Love from Jen in the USA.

Honestly, it's a thing i got from POD with Etsy. A year ago i was using the seamless pattern for the mugs on RB, but after using POD with Etsy to sell mugs I saw that the uploaded file is horizontal- so I just did it for RB too :) Happy you found it useful :) I posted a new video today with my video schedule for March, and in it I call out to people to suggest video ideas you'd like to see, so feel free to comment there too if you have any topic you'd like to see a video about :)

Well, the next video is marketing and mindset that can fit all POD... And regarding these sites... my websites are not ones I sell at. But I will work on explaining it better :)

You are my new guru. I've even chucked the bell on and I never do that, but you're very experienced and are answering a lot of questions I've had. Couple of further questions though... 1. If I design a girls t-shirt is there a way I can get it to show female only models? Somehow my designs are looking ridiculous at the moment. 2. Does anyone actually buy those garments with the black sleeves?
@MeyTribe
3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, thank you ! (It is still somewhat of a shock to me when people comment on an older video of mine LOL) 1. On RedBubble? No. And you don't really want to :) I order my tshirts from the men's sizes as the women sizes run super small... I'm size EU40, usually get size Large for tshirts, but the women's fitted I got a size 2XL and it's still a bit tight... So I order most of my stuff from the men's shirts :) Plus, there are a lot of "feminine" designs that are super attractive to men from the LGBTQ community! 2. I wouldn't know what other people are getting, but I do know that RB wouldn't have kept that item on the list for such a long time if it wasn't selling! I myself have several of these shirt types, just not from RB :)

Can I use a city and state name in designs to be sold on t-shirts, mugs, etc. Thanks, Mey!
@MeyTribe
3 жыл бұрын
I am not a lawyer... But I do believe so :) I have a few designs of Paris & London And they are also good things to sell on redBubble like "Just a girl from New Jersey" The only thing you should watch out from is a city or state that is written like a song... for example: "I love Alabama" would be OK, But "Sweet Home Alabama" is intellectual property of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
@yaelluxman-bahat129
3 жыл бұрын
@@MeyTribe I think I can answer that. Yes, names of cities can be used, because they're not copyrighted. However, certain images (even ones you take yourself) cannot be used dur to copyright. For example, you can use photos of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, but you absolutely cannot (!) use photos of the Eiffel Tower during nighttime, when it's either lit or sparkling. Why? Because unlike the tower itself, the lighting system is new, and therefore is subject to copyright (and lawsuits from the Paris municipality are no fun). I did hear they were going to paint the entire Eiffel Tower gold for the 2024 Olympics, which might then make the tower itself subject to copyright again, so if that's true, I'd recommend taking as many Eiffel Tower pics as possible before that happens...

Redbubble has a watermark option on the settings - o think it’s called “art protection “ I never used it, since any graphic designer can recreate most designs anyway. If you use their feature for watermarks it doesn’t effect the printing of the design itself
