To those wondering: No I don't get scared when I go outside and look at the sky. I actually quite enjoy cloudless days. I find the gradiential light blue shifting to a darker blue to be quite enamoring. Regardless, the real fear of this season for me was getting this video out, this had to be one of the toughest renders I had yet, ended up having to cut the video in 20 parts and stitch them together, total nightmare! But at least it's out now. Thanks for watching, y'all.

Really, this is the reason why more obscure or artsy games, old and new, have so much appeal to some people. They aren't bend by the rules, and lack coverage on the internet as well. They feel unique experiences, never knowing what to expect, never knowing where it goes to, never knowing if you will be able to comprehend it.

sigh "how nostalgic" I think that but isn't it cozy the safe none mysterious controllable video gane world....because we know that's the first lie video games entice us. Sigh it's the safe way i talk to other huh.

Strange you mention a fear of infinite expanses within games cause I find them weirdly soothing. I think it's the comfort of being able to see an endless sprawl ahead of you and just drift along without any real objective, anyone or thing you also happen to see there is just as meandering as you

Of all the gaming oddities encountered in my childhood, one has stuck with me above the rest. It was a one-off sort of glitch. In Ocarina of Time's Spirit Temple, there are Wall Masters, severed hands that fall from above to pull you away back to the dungeon entrance. Standard fare is their shadow surrounding you grows as they fall closer, and then grab you if not avoided, making Link scream before the screen turns black and you warp away as I think the whimsical void out sort of noise plays and the music ducks as well. They're typically easy to avoid, but when you're 10 years old you're also stupid and sometimes you just get grabbed, so I knew what it was like. But one of those times was different. The Wall Master grabbed Link and pulled him up, and I heard Link scream. But the screen never faded to black, the void noise never played and the music stayed constant. All that was on my screen was a close up of the nothing that remained. It only ended when I managed to work up the courage to quickly turn the console off. The game was well worn, having seen plenty of normal use and cartridge tilting in its time, and this surely was just a result of that. I think even back then I had an understanding of that. Still, the absolute novelty of it.. this video got me thinking about how it took my existing understanding and twisted, pushed it. It felt like this followed the rules, still. Games really did feel like more back then. Love your stuff, I appreciate how you keep it so real. Sorry for the long post, didn't realize how long I was typing for

Wow, I'm so lucky to have found this channel. Love the vibe, inspiring me to continue my art. Looking forward to future longform discussions, you nail the vibe so well. The last time I've had a amazing creepy moment of discovery was dark souls 3 on PS3 in 2013. Finding an invisible wall to an entire new area that was behind another invisible wall was bonkers.

To be fair with the mystery thing I have had so many issues where a game has made me sick, physically, while I try to finish it because I keep wandering the same area over and over trying to finish it, and just getting help somehow would of been so nice, plus the whole not getting sick part.

I used to be so scared of things like Herobrine growing up, if I saw anything even remotely off in my MC world I'd create a new one immediately

still in that Hylics mood i see. (or maybe just tired...) also i have a game in mind that you could check out if you want, all you have to do is ask. it's pretty fucked up so consider it a last resort plus i am sure you already have plenty ideas as is. also you CAN revive aerith in ff7 it was confirmed. also 15:24 BASED (i actually remember being unreasonably terrified of mario 64 as a kid (i also remember and i SWEAR i saw a weird door under the castle when swimming)). also i am going to share this here because i can sinistar is still the scariest game experience i ever had and it is not talked about enough... Pro-Sinistar when Spacey? also 23:29 i disagree, i find older games way more stable than modern ones, maybe 3d is just that volatile or games get rushed too much or maybe they are just lazy. i find it quite intriguing honestly. also (ain't i a obnoxious motherfucker) 38:40 i feel that a lot when i play porn games, they very rarely get ANY form of recognition so i am in the dark almost all the time. also, feeling or knowing i missed something just makes me feel straight up bad most of the time...but i can relate.

I have a pretty decent backlog of games I need to get to in terms of making videos on, I'm always open to new games to add, people have a habit of recommending some very depressing games to me, but I'm interested in what you have to recommend. I don't blame you on Sinistar, if I played that when I was younger it probably would have left a mark.
