I honestly think you should have him again but let him go deeper into being at breaking point rather than seeming to avoid it like a plague. The issue is men don't speak up and this is a good example of why. Let the man express himself and it will make your content a lot more genuine too.

Dude, bit of constructive feedback as these are great, you need to get better at letting the guests lead the topic. It creates a much more natural and interesting conversation and can lead into really interesting topics that may give your content an edge. People are here for the guests and to hear them talk. Listening and reacting more to what is being said and following/guiding the conversation only when absolutely necessary. If you watch some of the all time great interviewers, they barely say anything - Graham Norton is incredible at this. Cutting people off is becoming a recurring theme in your content, and it leads to scenarios as when in this video Alex was wanting to delve into an interesting topic (him at breaking point) and instead you forced the conversation elsewhere to something far more superficial. Relax, ease into the conversation and guide it only when absolutely necessary. Great content, and I'm loving how you're currently touring the UK car scene!

I think the biggest problen is that sometimes Ben forgets that the viewers are here to listen to the guest's stories, not him. He is merely the catalyst and he needs to remember that although it's his channel, the sort of content he is doing means he is not and will never be the focus or the reason people engage.

When Alex left Car Throttle I subscribed to Auto Alex but never really bothered watching the videos. Then I watched a few and he's honestly become one of my favourite personalities in the car scene. The recent content (especially the Nurburgring roadtrip) has been so, so good and reminded me why I love shitboxes. Boss mad about an employee leaving (or publicly saying he left)? Cope and seethe my boy, blame yourself. Also, not surprised about the tone deaf manager. That's standard procedure for corporate acquisitions, they buy things, assign an NPC as a manager and then get surprised stuff doesn't work anymore after they "sterilize" it and only care about money. It was risky, but well worth it in the end.

shitbox cars for life. had my first small tiny car last year, never looking back to a sedan or suv. Its so much FUN to drive! It can dart in and out like a fighterplane compared with the larger cars. And the tires are almost free ;) Parking is never an issue, it will fit anywhere.
