Yeah it's like the same concept of shorter guys having a smaller strike zone in baseball. In wrestling they would tell to look for picks, slide by's, arm drags, snap downs, etc. but I'm not even sure how well that translates to MMA since a lot those are set up off the collar tie, anything that's not a leg attack though basically. A lot of TD's are set up by strikes in MMA so IDK though, be interesting to hear what Henry's advice would be. Sucks getting burried and having to dig out a single on some little 4' 5" tank.

Wise words guys. Just being shorter is not a disadvantage, letting it affect your confidence is. In the striking game once you get inside most of what we throw is thrown upwards against taller guys. This uses gravity to our advantage making it like uppercuts which have more impact. Plus if you're faster you can avoid his range

Brah, Henry is the ChatGPT of MMA training. Rogan, Jon Jones, and many others, refer to him as “the best game planner and tactician in the sport.” This may seem counterintuitive to say, but it’s his ability to listen that makes him great. Even as DJ is talking right here, you see Henry focusing on listening and absorbing everything he’s saying. He’s humble enough to understand that EVERYBODY can teach you something new no matter what. You literally see it in his face when his brain is receiving and storing the information to his hard drive. It’s a beautiful thing and something that we’ve lost as a society. This takes discipline beyond belief and a non-stop dedication to not let the ego overshadow your eagerness to learn. We can ALL take huge lessons from this short clip. Especially in a time where everyone thinks they’re special and subconsciously think they know it all. Keep it up TripleC. We need you bud, this sport needs you. That warrior mentality & toughness paired with the reasons I listed above, is why you’ll go down as the 🐐 of Combat Sports. Now LFG and show the 🌎 whose the best.🙏🏼

The reason Max struggled is mainly because he has a terribly short reach, he always had to strike first and take risks. It’s the main reason he’s taken so much damage in his career, if he had a longer reach he might still be on that legendary win streak. Size absolutely matters in the fight game, and a fighter who knows how to use their length is an absolute nightmare. Look at every ufc champion, do want of them have a short reach relative to their division?!
