Fun fact: the reason they look more like wolverines or badgers to some people is because they are actually the most basal living genus of canine; that is to say they are the most primitive living dog and at the very bottom of their family tree. Also of note is that Western scientists first recognized the animal from pleistocene (ice age)-dated fossils and assumed it to be an extinct genus, until living specimens of the modern species were described many years later.

@@alpine_newt They're canines like the Fox, the Coyote and the Maned Wolf, but only animals in the same *species* can breed and produce fertile offspring. Wolves and Dogs are both from the genus "Canis" and species "lupus" (their scientific names are both "Canis lupus"). Coyotes are "Canis latrans", so they're related to wolves and belong to the same genus (canis) but they're different species and thus aren't compatible in breeding. Maned Wolves, Foxes and Bush Dogs are also canines (belong to the canidae family) but don't belong to the "Canis" genus, so they're even more distant relatives. Edit: Corrected the Fox bit

@Robert Womack @Jill Sacsayhuaman. There used to be a pair of yellow labs on an island in the Bahamas that loved retrieving items under water. They would dive down to fetch whatever you threw. I also saw a black lab that did the same. The water was crystal clear so they could see whatever was on the bottom. That island was the first landfall of Hurricane Dorian just before crossing a narrow body of water to Marsh Harbour. I haven’t found any information on how that island faired.

There is a rumor that airplane jet engines run off free energy. This because there is nowhere in a plane to store the thousands of gallons of jet fuel needed for a plane to complete it's journey. We are told that the jet fuel is stored in the planes wings. However that sounds like complete BS. The plane wings are very thin. There is no way all that jet fuel can fit in there!!
