Blacks have higher bone density which makes it harder to float. They can learn to swim but it takes much more effort because they have to fight against their negative buoyancy in order to move forward.

I'm white and my bone density is really high as well. At first, i didn't know why i wasn't as good as my pairs at swimming or why couldn't i stay in water without drowning faster, or why did i have to put way more offer to do what they did easily. That was, until i lerened about this from my teacher, and had to do a test to confirm it 😅. It seems i can't do anything about it 😅. Lucky my stamina is really high otherwise i can't stay for long in water 😅, even though i love swimming.

Yeah, the idea that it is environmental factors is dumb. There are so many high performing black swimmers that don’t make it to the Olympics or get gold medals. At the end of the day it is just genetics. White people have less dense bones and muscles

10 years ago they’d say the same thing about gymnastics. But Simone Biles is the GOAT in that now and still making it impossible for anyone to surpass her anytime soon.

Simone Biles has the perfect body for gymnastics. But also, that is different than swimming. Swimming will always be dominated by Eurasians even if more blacks were in the sport. How many whites are in sprinting and fail to get gold medals? Just think about that for a second and apply the same thing to swimming

So US race relations in the 60s effects the swiming habbits of an entire racial group world wide? If ihad guess I'd say competitive swimming is just not somthing most people do, and the places that do are generally are predominantly white. Economically the financial reward for swimming is not as great compared to other more accessible sports and the cost for top tier training is more than the avarage person is willing to bear without some assurance of some future pay back in status or money. So where there is well off black poulation in a place where swimming is appreciated there will be those that excel. Same is true for fencing and those other sports.

Black Americans can do everything at an elite level when they/we try and or compete. Not many black Americans elect to compete in the MLB and NHL by choice, however during the brief window in which Black Americans flocked to the MLB, they set and now hold most of the sport's major records. Most of the sport's greatest players of all time are black Americans. As for swimming to which many are just beginning to play, this link tells the story and future. kzitem.info/news/bejne/laqZwJmfe2l2ioI

Not all Africans are the same. Like the difference between West and East. Some are gifted bodybuilders while in other regions they have exceptional track runners. But quite universally, the bones of Africans seem to be less optimal for floating and swimming. Whereas every other race like white and asian will naturally excel at competitive swimming. Although the shorter limbs of Asians will obviously reduce speed. They make great powerlifters for that reason, due to leverages.

@@Merica1776othis is just ignorance, all Caribbeans and South Americans can swim and Asian can swim as well like indians and srilankan. 😂 the only reason why black people don’t compete in swimming competitions is due to culture and representation. For many years the only black peoples we use to emulate globally were Afro Americans and since in part it is true majority of Afro Americans can’t swim they usually tend to excel in basketball, tennis and running competitions, so we black outsiders would think this is the only path black people can follow. But I can assure you in the Caribbeans and Africa people are brilliant swimmers and we can also hunt and hold our breath longer than any other race. Also we are built to be in water our hair when is wet get dry very fast once outside the water, meanwhile inside the water the hair becomes very light weight instead of straight hairs. Straight hair when wet are very heavy, our black skin can a mimetic tool underwater in the night time.
