Some bad takes & some good points. Saka is however more creative then Cole Palmer by all metrics. Saka created most chances in PL (58) Saka 3rd most big chances in PL (11) Saka has 2nd most assist in PL (7) Saka has most xAssist in PL (6.9) Saka has most shot creating actions in PL (155). Saka by all metrics is not only a better creator but by a big margin. Saka been near the top creators in PL for 3+ seasons. Saka skillset is that of a midfielder then a winger. Saka has played CM, AM for Arsenal in the past and thrived in that role. Saka isn't that quick as a a winger but uses his body well, change of pace combined with having a lower center of gravity and elite balance. Saka is at his best when he received the ball in central areas where he can show his ball carrying ability & his turn of pace on the half turn, but is instead being utilised as a wide winger who holds the width & takes players on 1 v 1 alot. Saka been more creative this season then Palmer, more assist, more open play goals. Palmer has only scored more penalties. Age wise there a couple months apart. Also your England breakdown your making it sound like there was a vacant spot at RW for England that Saka walked into. Saka took that RW spot from media darling Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho who both were higher regarded wonderkids who both more natural/experienced attackers. Foden lost that RW spot from Saka at the Euros. Saka prior to that tournament was one of the last names on the plane from initial squad because he changed from LB to RW very late in that season. Made the team because of his versatility, 2nd youngest player in the Euro squad, only 17 year old Jude younger. Saka first broke into the England team as a LB and won multiple MOTM awards from LB. Luke Shaw who was out of England squad because of bad form, which led Saka to become starting LB, Shaw found form again and was playing at elite level which got him back as starter for England ahead of Chilwell. Combined with the fact Saka at club level moved from LB to RW at Arsenal meant he wasn't viewed as a LB for England. Saka had 1 call up as an attacker which was the 33 man provisional squad in a Euro warmup game (Saka started RW + scored winner v Austria) days prior to making the 26 man Euro squad, he had an uphill battle trying to dislodge proven elite attackers. Saka has earned that spot with performances and kept Foden + Sancho away who didn't take every opportunity like Saka did. England RW options were Foden, Sancho, Sterling, Mount prior to Saka taking it. Saka is now along with Kane, Rice, Stones the first name on team sheet. Saka has since kept players like Jarrod Bowen out. Cole Palmer is less of a threat to Saka at RW then Foden, Sancho, Mount, Bowen. Saka at 19 was confident enough to take his opportunity despite calls from England fans for Foden & Sancho who both at the time were ripping it up at club level and Saka not having same level of fanfare + adjusting to a new position. Saka wasn't as developed an attacker as either of them at the time. Southgate saw that Saka was brave on the ball, always made right decisions and always made things happen every game. Foden & Sancho both were less brave on the ball, weren't consistent enough and played within themselves, compared to Saka who played with no fear.

Thank you, this video was about Saka having no obvious right wingers to challenge whereas on the left England has many options. And Palmer is not near Saka yet but he is showing a crazy amount of potential the way he’s carrying Chelsea

@@FIL1994 Id say Foden could challenge saka on the Right, but since Mount's gone to shit the only real choice for AM is him and Maddison, so having Palmer as an option would be nice, slightly misleading title hence why people have got defensive. Arsenal fan btw

It's a dumb take because even for england Saka has been great, missing a penalty doesn't change his impact as a winger. Palmer is still trying to adapt to the Chelsea way and none of us can rate his consistency because it's he's first full season. Don't forget that Saka has been put up against greenwood, Sancho, foden, rashford, garnacho and on all those debates, he always proves to be the mainstay, even for england...

Don’t think people understand you’re saying to challenge Saka, hopefully making the England team better and Saka on his toes. Let’s not fight about this as this can only be a good thing for England. Saka is still better currently that’s undeniable

Is it though? Palmers playing in a poor team and carrying them. Saka doesn't look as good this season. I also think Palmer is cooler under pressure. Would have scored that penalty Saka missed in the final.

Interesting perspective! While both Palmer and Saka are incredibly talented players, Palmer's unique skill set and potential could indeed offer a compelling alternative for the England National Team. It's always exciting to see emerging talent being considered for such roles. Can't wait to see how both players continue to develop on the international stage!

Palmer is more effective playing through the middle just like Foden, imo. I think Michael Olise would be the best back up option for Saka

If only Olise didn’t choose to play for France he’d be Saka’s back up for sure 😁

@@FIL1994 Olise still hasn't chosen what country he will play for. I don't understand why people falsely assume that he can't play for England just because he played for France U21s. He can still switch his international allegiance before making his full intetnational debut... just like Musiala played for England U21s but was then convinced by Germany to represent them. So all it takes is one phone call from Gareth Southgate trying to convince him and he might decide to play for England. At the end of the day, most players usually pick the team that wants/chases them the most.

@joepublicnpc8998 Ahh I see that is a very good point. He might pick his country depending on where he might think he has best chance of playing. I don’t think France has any great RW compared to England with Saka do they?

this is so disrespecful to Bukayo, who in Palmer's best season still has more Non-Penalty goal contributions than Palmer btw. disrepectful to England's TWO TIME player of the year and highest t goalscorer at the world cup, SAKA. He's been in the spotlight for time, carrying arsenal even as a teen lmao. Hell, while Bukayo was out scoring hattricks for England in 2023, Palmer was rocking with the U-21s brother. Even Foden, in all his might, hasn't been able to bench Bukayo in the NT. Cole Palmer? Thank U Next!
