If you turned the middle one 90 degrees it would’ve been much better 👍🏼

I think the modularity is defeated by the liquid shim kit, which would lock the individual tables from being moved around. A better option would be some sort of set screw arrangement accessible from the underside to account for the edge of the table possible misalignment, which would allow the creation of precision square edges to these tables. Prehaps a threaded set screw hole in between each row of holes, allowing for custom alignments such as yours, not necesarily filling every one of the set screw holes, but prehaps one pair of set screws on each side of each connecting bolt.

For the price, that is really impressive. It isn't some super extreme precision table, but is an order of magnitude cheaper. I'm not sure how they get it so cheap while still being bon-a-fide useful. Perhaps it's some crappy cast iron china-mystery metal, but still, that's good enough for the loads a welding table sees when it's that thick. I'm positive this table isn't in the 0.001" range flat, but if you aren't doing things requiring that, this is really nice. Also, the ability to make that arrangement your guy came up with is awfully useful. As much as I'd love something like the Fireball table, it's hard to justify that expense especially if you are just a home gamer or have a side hustle.

I have the same set up (no notch though) and I freaking love this table. It was a hell of a step up from what I used to use.

I would rather have fireball tools welding system. That's what I'm starting off with. Everything about it is more beefier and guaranteed flat and square. Even with their new Dragon wagon. I'm not knocking lameir system but I'd rather spend a little more and get a better fabrication table

That table configuration is cool! The only thing I see is does it need to be taller for Tay? Do they make a table with hydraulics like they do the sit stand desks? I guess steel would weigh a little more than paperwork. They should do something like that for the metal fabrication shop with multi heighted (is that a word?) People, Like yours. A table for Tay would not work well for Wyatt. Anyway, we enjoyed the video! Thanks for sharing!

When I purchased two of the tables I found a worn and dirty childs cotton glove in one of the boxes. It was smaller than the palm of my hand. Perhaps a message? It crosses my mind whenever I use the table.

L shape table for the win. Worked for many years on 2 2x1 meter tables bolted together in an L shape. Recently qouted the steel for fixture table top on the bench i am designing/building and having it lasercut is under the price of that langmuir. Besides that they are not available in europe.

Tay, the new fixture tables wii prove to be a great addition to your shop. Question: do you grind the fixture table tops to renew the surface after you weld a project to get rid of the splaters? Blessings to you all.

You could always use anti spatter spray to protect the surface and then just knock any remaining prills off with a cold chisel.
