She called the police on her family, got her sister arrested, and an order of protection against her father, but kept living there? I am curious if she was the one starting the drama, then playing the victim, considering the outcome. If it was me, I'd have moved out if I was truly afraid for my life. Turns out, they should have been afraid for theirs. Damn. (She sure got herself a self-defense claim going though, didn't she? Smh.) So wrong, and what a waste of at least two lives. It's old, it's trite, but it's so true. The older one gets, the less one understands. That certainly goes for human behavior. The subject matter you've undertaken is gruesome, but it's like a train wreck, can't take my eyes off it. NYC is a magical place in many ways, but so tragic in others. You're doing a fine job kid and God knows you have an endless amount of material to draw from. It's NYC history and I'm glad you're documenting it. Thanks.

Great advice Mooney, anyone's that a suspect for any crime should always lawyer up immediately. What most people don't know is the cops are legally allowed to lie to you in order to trick you into confessing. They may say something like, "There was a guy walking his dog that saw you break into that house the other night", which is probably a total BS story, but it might work to trick you into confessing, so watch it and always lawyer up!

Your videos strike such a strong chord with me, I look forward to each new one and even watch older ones again. I greatly appreciate what you're doing, and you do it so well, including the background research and I guess you rehearse your moves before you actually film. They take me back, to a simpler, innocent time, and to my beloved ancestral homeland that I miss so much. I can tell you that no place on Earth has a hold on its people like Brooklyn, even the other Burroughs. But when we're there we want to get away, and when we're away, we miss it... My brother started out his legal career as a Public Defender. Lots of his clients were professional criminals with long experience dealing with the law. He has a huge stock of stories about them proudly telling him they didn't really need him because they had talked themselves out of trouble. In reality they had confessed, at least in the major points, and didn't leave him much to work with. Generally long prison terms. If pros do that, it's not surprising "amateurs" do. He/she had probably been coddled all their life and excused for their actions, however outrageous, without real consequences.
