I love when jumpscares are using tropes the aren't always utilized like using silence to build tension then a glitch to the next scene.

Quality content indeed, the Walten Files gave me uncomfy but in good way vibes. The way liminal spaces are used to create horror just ups the uncanny factor as empty spaces are creepy af for no reason as well.

I don't know why, but I had to see what you were saying in morse code. Gave me serious sp00ps. I don't even know why since I have zero experience with morse code but hey it's my day off and I'm bored. For people who were curious, the phrase is ../.-/--/../-./-.--/---/..-/.-./.--/.-/.-../.-../... You got a sub from me for sure since this is the first time I've enjoyed doing homework

Analog horror creator here! (Actually, a really small one) I really do love analog horror, and I have a ton of series that I enjoy (walten files included). However, I can agree that there are different series that feel repetitive. The thing that bothers me is how the more people put on the repetitive cycle, the more the viewers are gonna be like “okay, we get it! It’s meant to be scary!” This is why I try my best to avoid cliches (even though I use a tiny bit of tropes for my series), because I want it to feel like something new to the genre. Plus, I wanted to focus on something different than alternates and creepy faces (like how I’m focusing on a cryptid I made as the antagonist). The thing I would like to mention though; it’s alright to feel inspired by other creators as I am as well. Just don’t use too much inspiration to the point where it feels like another repetitive cycle. (That’s at least how I can say it). Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

to me the best analog horror series is Walten Files, because it doesn't rely only in jumpscares and creepy visuals (even thought it really has a lot of these two aspects), there's actually a lot of funny moments in Walten Files and the characters actually feel real

on the point about horror books and you not getting them, i feel like the aim of the horror genre in books is more so revulsion or disgust rather than actually being viscerally scared. horror doesn’t just encompass “oh no i need to hide” it also spans across “huh i might be sick” yk like the genre of body horror and stuff. i think books can be a really good medium for psychological horror as well e.g. i’m thinking of ending things and things have gotten worse since we last spoke :) they’re both novellas !!

when I was like 7 I loved anolog horrer. I couldn't sleep after watching bon when I was 7 to 8. I started being more normally while watching anolog horrer when I was 9. Now I am 10 and what ever anolog horrer I watch I go to sleep normally and not even giving a shit about it being in my bedroom. and I still like anolog horrer. Battington aka other channel called martin whalls, he was the star of vhs anolog horrer of fnaf, and I loved watching all of his vids.

A good analog/unfiction horror that not many people talk about is this place is not happy. It's based around a meat packing farm and the treatment of it's """animals""". May not be for everyone as there's quite a bit of body horror but it's an interesting experience nonetheless

bro this is one arg that really fucked me up when i saw it. not because i got scared, but because i actually throwed up. body horror like these are the ones that are actually so fucking bad, it doesn't have gore, it's not someone's face but photoshopped into a long face with a big smile looking like jerma, it's just... horrific.

The only horror game that truly scared me and messed with me that was made *Recently* is “Doki Doki Literature Club”. Now, if you’ve never heard of this game, it may not sound so scary at first, but let me tell you, ITS NOT. The game is not recommend for kids or those easily disturbed.I’m not gonna spoil it fully for those wanting to play it, but to warn people that are easily disturbed that are interested in it, it includes depression, self harm and hate, @buse (implied to be sexu@l), $uicide, Body Horror, Gore, Manipulation and gaslighting, very disturbing glitches, sometimes epilepsy causing flashing ang glitching, and much more. The game is about 3-4 hours long, and I would definitely recommend it.
