In my 11months in a cat B prison (womens),I only saw one protest.a girl was unlocked in the morning and told to pack cos she was getting shipped out.she didn't want to leave her gf,so her and her gf and the one woman's padmate blocked themselves into the cell using whatever they could get.we had metal legged tables so they used that to smash the viewing window and the cell window.they graffitied everywhere.totalled the cell.we were all locked in while the riot squad came and dragged them one at a time from the cell, even the padmate who was officially categorised as having been kidnapped and was not involved in the blockage.they all went to seg and were each shipped out except the padmate who had no choice in the matter and was just a bystander.I believe they were sent to different prisons, but nobody ever knows unless one of them writes to someone who is still on the wing and tells them.this info can also be censored from mail. That's the only thing i ever saw and after we all had to have plastic chairs in cells.a few people would throw their food on the floor or at someone, but that's just being a shit rather than protesting

they happen because you cannot have a cam in prison or any way of recording what's going on.If you want to get a message to the public,I think it would be intercepted at mail check.

When i needed time out to get the head together, i would just smash-up, and break the toilet, sink, tv, formica etc, but i would put the formica against the pipe, and break it into pieces so that it couldnt be used again, and then chuck it out the window ha ha ASC
