In this video, let's look at the information about the physiological state that we define as flower nose rot, which is not actually a disease, and how we can prevent it. This situation, which is more common in tomatoes; It can be seen in all fruits and vegetables that need calcium, such as peppers, zucchini, eggplants and even watermelons-melons. It is the most common fruit quality problem that leads to yield losses. Often those who try to make a diagnosis say that the issue is caused by a lack of calcium, but the situation is not so simple. The occurrence of 'Flower Cape Rot' is not enough to diagnose calcium deficiency in your plant and therefore in the soil. Remember that a lack of calcium in fruit does not mean that there is a lack of calcium in the soil. First of all, we can show such reasons as Flower Cape Rot, irregular irrigation, deterioration of the soil structure due to under- or over-irrigation, and the salt stress that follows them, calcium is not enough, calcium is bound in the soil.Just as you lose calcium due to over-watering, you also lose microelements. The event develops in a chain. After Flower Cape Rot, there will be no point in supplementing calcium from the leaf.GREEN FERTILIZATION ALSO REDUCES CALCIUM Even in the process of mixing weeds with the soil, calcium deficiency begins to occur. The plant also needs calcium in its soil. We have many theses about this situation if we count them quickly.* Excessive watering creates water and salt stress in plants.* This disease occurs because calcium is deficient. * Because nitrogen was overused, the green parts grew more than they should and the calcium, which was sufficient, began to act as if it were missing. This is the biggest reason...If we look in more detail;-Irregular watering. (Usually waterless conditions after too much watering)-Rapid plant development. (Fast-growing plants need a lot of water and a lot of Calcium.)-Excessive levels of certain nutritional elements. (Excess Nitrogen increases the need for Calcium as it accelerates development; excess Potassium also prevents the utilization of Calcium.)-Planting in cold soil. -Deep versions around root.-High salinity in the soil.-Excessive nitrogen fertilizations.-Diseases and pests that cause damage to the roots-Dehydration of plantsWhen flower nose rot occurs, it may not be a correct practice to use lime. First we need to understand if calcium is really deficient. Because let's say calcium is in the soil, but the plant cannot get it, we will give excess calcium to the soil with lime supplementation. If calcium is excess in the soil, then in tomatoes, iron chlorosis appears. Excess Calcium reduces the absorption of water by the plant, promotes the outflow of water vapor. High calcium leads to a deficiency of potassium or magnesium, in which case magnesium is the first element to be affected. High calcium besides; manganese, iron, phosphorus, boron, zinc deficiency. The very strange part is that due to the lack of Boron brought on by the excess of calcium in the soil, it causes the plant not to receive calcium from the soil. For calcium deficiency, the application of lime to the soil before planting can bring solutions. But we would like to remember that the lime will gradually take effect in the soil, which can take six months to regulate the pH of the soil. After the garden season is over, it is best to apply lime in the fall.It can be done in other applications for calcium. Calcium fertilizer obtained by soaking the eggshell in vinegar and calcium fertilizers obtained from chicken bones can be given from the soil and leaves. If we say what we can do about prevention, there are applications that we will do before planting and when there is flower nose rot.The measures before planting are contained in the video.#domateshastalıkları #domatesçiçekburnuçürüklüğü #domatesçürüyorcalcium deficiency, tomato, tomato diseases, how to eliminate calcium deficiency, what is good for calcium deficiency, signs of calcium deficiency, why solution measure, flower nose rot, why tomatoes rot, flower nose rot, how to give calcium to tomatoes, calcium from eggshell, calcium from chicken bone, calcium fertilization
