Address by Herbert Gill, Chicago, 1926.
The subject is summarised under four headings:
- We gather as we do, because of the worthiness of the name of the Lord Jesus
- We gather as we do, because we desire to give the Holy Spirit the place that is His due
- We gather as we do, because we desire to obey the injunction of Scripture to "go forth therefore unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach."
- We gather as we do, because we conceive it to be scriptural to be on the ground of the one body.
