As a resident of Louisiana, I look forward to the requirement that a Louisiana movie include Mardi Gras (and then a complete lack of surprise when it doesn't knock a single movie off the list, because every Louisiana movie has Mardi Gras in it, no matter what time of year it is set)

Kind of wish that twist wasn't spoiled here, because Lone Star sounds like a really good movie. Could have said, "after the reveal of a heavy twist, she utters the line..." Or something. Otherwise, good video and fun idea for a series

This looks like a cool series, but I gotta admit that some states will be tough, mostly because of the lack of a singular identity. Illinois, for instance, has at least two cultural sets--downstate, which is pretty much Indiana or Iowa, and Chicago, which is our own little violent and politically corrupt ball of wax. Blue Brothers is an easy pick for Chicago, but it never gets further from the city than some of the outlying burbs. I suspect some other states--New York, Washington--have similar dichotomies.

I was born in texas, live there currently, and can say every one of these 14 minutes was painful as hell. The tone is painful. John Waynes version of the alamo did not even mention football. okay, that was funny, but you are just trying to add drama like a kardashian. Texas isn't an added drama kind of place. Maybe spend a week in the state before you say you are going to talk about it. That would help you get the tone right. And if Mexico really loved and cherished the land under texas, why did they do nothing more than build a fort or two in San Antonio? Sam Houston wanted to settle down and build an american society. Thats why when Sam Houston came to texas, the mexicans who lived here didn't kick him out.... not even the mexicans wanted to live here.
