The World Cup match ball has come along way since the old ways of pig skins and human heads (no, really), and even today, the brainiacs at Adidas are coming up with all sorts of ways to improve ball design every time the FIFA World Cup comes around. In search of a truly perfect soccer ball, there’s another, entirely different reason we keep seeing a new ball every 4 years. But first we have to find out what it takes to make a “good” ball in the first place.
