Mayor Andrew Ginther is why I am leaving Columbus. We need a new Mayor.

I live in a newer place (1998) and have had non-stop repairs. I almost bought an older home and can’t imagine what making those kinds repars would have faced.

Crime: 10 people shot overnight, June 2024.😳🥺. That's Columbus, the crime and rental prices is ridiculous. You have good and bad, nice suburbs some of the people are a little snobbish.

Been traveling for nature , a potential forever home and see my people. I do app delivery to keep my coffers even. You learn a lot about a city or town by going out at dusk and driving around. Columbus failed in all four corners. Things get rowdy and folks drive aggressively on really bad roads. The vibe I caught was folks are pissed more than half the year and by the time they are easing towards some sort of happiness the weather poops on em’ again and they go right back to getting pissed. It’s just kinda dirty for being so spread out. I expect a certain layer of grime in a tight city like NY or Philadelphia , not in the heartland though. I watched your video and others because I was surprised with what I saw tonight and wanted to gain understanding. Very pc way to tell the truth. The surrounding 30+ miles outside town then add a couple more dozen miles away from the highway ya might be doing alright.

Enjoyed this video and have subscribed to your channel. Thank you for your insight about older homes in the city. I have always lived in the suburbs in new construction homes. Never married, no children and am growing tired of the burbs and living in neighborhoods where all the homes look the same. I have recently been searching for an older home in the city. I love the charm and character of an older home but have become very discouraged. Looked at several, many, many property flips and hoping to buy a home with a tax abatement. I was in contract on a rehabbed home but the inspection turned up multiple issues so I terminated the contract. I just don't wanna keep throwing away money on home inspections and be let down when they keep turning up issues with the property. My gut tells me to stay in the burbs where crime is not an issue, not give up my 3% interest rate with lower taxes and I don't have to worry about throwing away money on a money pit. My family and friends are advising me against moving into the city for all the reasons you cited in your content. I know in my gut they are right but I am not giving up hope that I can find that diamond in the rough. Is it possible to ever find a well done rehabbed home? Or is it best to buy a home that needs work and hiring a good contractor that will do good work and not do a rush job?

Dublin is the place to be. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for.

So this is a real estate agent advertising for Columbus attempting reverse psychology. Very biased and self serving
