Bands like Korn are very depressing because they made some good albums but now most their recent albums are pop rock/metal with cheesy vocals. When every song sounds like a radio pop rock song and doesn't sound like that dirty raw funky dark or light catchy good shit then you've lost your spunk. Axl can act borderlining madness sometimes, but he´s always had a great eye for new awesome bands. He was a demigod in the first nineties, and could have not given a shit about other bands, but he has always been willing to support them by taking them on tour (FNM, Soundgarden, Blind Melon, etc.) or speaking about them publicly (NIN, etc.). The list is long. So FNM taking advantadge of being chosen for a tour where millions will see you live as one of GN´R supporting bands, and then act like you´re too cool and mature for that stage is disrespectful, ungrateful and dumb. especially when most of the time your leader´s behaviour is that of a 8 year old boy diva, talking about about poo, pee, and making the stupidest jokes. Oh, and I am a huge FNM fan. Even bigger GN´R fan.

Curly Que You realise that Milli Vanilli was also one of the biggest bands in the world at one time, right? They weren’t making original music. Certainly, not within the context of how they were packaged and presented publicly. Point being: Nirvana weren’t anywhere near as original or groundbreaking as the fawning mainstream press would have you believe. But, no one’s allowed to say anything different. Much like everyone has been brainwashed to believe Michael Jordan is the greatest to ever bounce a basketball, even though the individual record books say otherwise. Just because Nirvana sold a shitload of records 3 years after their first single when few people in the States outside the PNW knew who they were, doesn’t necessarily indicate they were suddenly doing anything original. They weren’t. They merely aped to perfection what the Melvins, Husker Du, the Pixies, and Sonic Youth had already done. And, with regards to mainstream exposure, let’s not forget that Jane’s Addiction paved that road for them the year BEFORE Nevermind. It’s past time to stop giving Nirvana credit for something they didn’t actually do and never really were.

The only thing you cannot get electrocuted by is something that is wireless. If there is a wire going anywhere to the board it is possible to be shocked! Especially a wire from a guitar head... I have read articles about guitarists flying 30ft into a crowd un-expectedly, which is true because a good jolt makes your muscles do incredible things by firing all the groups at once! Besides that, most stages that size have 5 ft retaining walls between the crowd and the stage which security use to traverse through. If the stage is wet you can lose your balance and fly off dropping 6-8 feet to a concrete floor and possibly smacking into the strudy 5ft wall also! I have played on a stage that large before and can tell you it is not hard to mess up when you are playing and go flying off! I saw Dokken in the early 1990's and his guitarist went up to the front of the stage too quickly slipped and slid about 5ft then over the edge, hit the wall then the floor. When the security helped him back on stage Don went over inbetween vocals and you could totally see the non-verbals "are you alright dude? Can you still finish?" the guy just nodded and the show kept going. I was like oh shit! When I saw it happen. Thought they may be done for the night. BTW he was wearing cowboy boots, they are NOTORIOUS for people sliding off the stage! Musicians wear them because they are cool but man you can pay for it!

How indoctrinated can you be? Having respect for your fellow humans isn't cultist, thinking there is something wrong with that because your media says so is cultist, you are the brainwashed imbecile here.

I saw FNM at a small goth rock club in Hollywood called Helter Skelter. Mike had just joined the band and The Real Thing had yet to be released. It was my introduction and they did not disappoint. I wasn't even sure who I was watching.

Las Cruces NM, Sitting in the cheap seats for Metallica : Blew us all away with high energy and great music. Snuck down to the field for GnR, right at winge stage : Axle was late AF getting on stage, we started throwing water bottles at him . He starts yelling " Well leave if you dont like us " . 50,000 people walked out of the stadium while he was doing his gay piano on a chopper solo.

I, myself, was there at the Cruces show. I left right after Metallica. I had NO interest in seeing GnR, much less wait two hours on a bunch of egotistical junkies. Fuck those dicks.

I saw GNR live a few times and remember the cameras pointing at girls and hyping them up to lift their shirts. They had video cameras and showing it on the big screen. I guess it was how they killed time waiting for GNR to come out and play. My girlfriend gave me the look like "should I?", I just shrugged. She didn't, but a LOT of girls did lift their shirts. The shows were great and so was Soundgarden.

I was a huge fan of GNR in the 80s early early 90s during my teenage years. The older i got however, the more immature GNR seemed to me. The fans, shows never seemed important. All the antics and controversies between bands, if i had to put up with all that crap they pulled on that tour (and other tours) i'd be pissed too. It should be said, "GNR was at the top and had it all, but never acted like they wanted it and threw it all away because they couldn't grow up"

From all accounts, 90s Axl was a massive asshole at times. But if you had problems with him or his band, then you just say no to touring with them. Then you can publicly criticize them all you like. This was Nirvana's path and massive respect to them. But FNM accepted the offer, and then criticized anyway. As did Soundgarden from memory. It just doesn't work like that. You signed up to be a support band so your role is clear. You think the UYI Tour was a circus? Well you better get your clown suit on or go do your own tour.

Metallica and fnm. If you did not like gnr, why did you tour with them? And then talk behind his back? What is rock n roll about it? I never have been a rocker just a listener. Even i would not tour with people that i do dislike. Just because of this i do not respect these people.
