Wow, gives me more appreciation for what Ralph Vaugh Williams ended up creating with Thomas Tallis' theme from this piece...such a creative, weird piece to my ears, both celebratory and melancholy all at once. I know "Fantasia" as it was described by Vaughn Williams, is a type of music relating to improvisation, but, and maybe this is Disney's fault haha, I can't help but think of a "Fantasia" as a musical piece that inspires wonder and mystery and just lights the imagination...Vaughn Williams' piece that took from this theme, for instance, really sounds like a song that in some ways is about the nature of creating, creativity, and imagination itself...like a song about an artist seeking inspiration and a sense of soul

The text that Wikipedia offers only shows these lyrics, and they only match the singers for the first verse. After that, they are quite different. Could you post what "The Tudors" are using in their vocal scores? Why fum'th in sight/ The Gentiles' spite n fury raging stout? Why taketh in hond: the people fond, Vain things to bring about? in councils met therto: Against the Lord: with false accord, against his Christ they go. of all their bonds and cords: We will renounce: that they pronounce, their loores as stately lordes. Shall laugh them all to scorn: The Lord on high: shall them defy, they shall be once forlorne. all rebels shalt thou bruise: And break them all: in pieces small, as sherdes the potters use. Receive ye wisdomes lore: Ye judges strong: of right and wrong, advise you now before. with dread to him reioce: Let rages be: resist not ye, him serve with joyfull voice. lose not the way of rest: For when his ire: is set on fire, who trust in him be blest.

Is that an Arpeggione?

I was under the impression it was a viol, but I might be wrong.

For a historically informed performance, it would be a viol. Tallis lived in the 1500s,but the arpeggione wasn't developed until 1823.
