+Radley2612 Good point. Insanity, conspiracy theory, and religion, then. Honestly, I think 'crazy' and 'creative' are two sides of the same coin...I have a few schizophrenic family members, and they're all *extremely* creative. What makes them crazy people rather than geniuses is that they can't evaluate the connections their minds make; it all seems equally real to them. No filter, no sense of which connections are empirically productive and which aren't.

He is the PERFECT example of why a growth mindset is everything. My daughter was naturally interested and gifted in science and math and we put her in a STEM school starting in 2nd grade... but unfortunately the "schooling" lead to a fear of getting things wrong and belief that she should automatically know everything (she was "gifted" after all), which killed her curiosity. She stopped pursuing the rockets and robots and natural sciences that originally captured her. She's in 6th grade and now in a private micro school and we are teaching her the growth mindset. She recently had the AMAZING experience of wanting to draw, knowing she was terrible, but putting in the EFFORT to learn it and QUICKLY getting really good!! Growth mindset underway! It's too bad we couldn't have helped her know her true power is LEARNING sooner. We may have had another physicist.

I'm very impressed with Taylor's boldness to communicate with leaders of their field, when he was only ten(10) years old...well before he had any credibility in the field. In my early years of my current profession, I dabbled in this. It was amazing what insights people will share, when someone was just willing to listen intently. The input I received, from the greats whom I was in contact with, turned out to be very sound. Unfortunately, as the pace of business increased, I became "too busy" for this sort of communication. Big mistake... We can only take in so much info, at any given time. Our brains/attention-span become "saturated" when exposed to too much new information. Furthermore, as a beginner, we have to spend a great deal of time, focused in one direction. In doing so, we create greater distinctions regarding the topic. Only, when our minds have identified the patterns, and made greater distinctions, are we then ready for the next, more sophisticated, lesson. However, if we stop actively acquiring new ideas, from the people in our field, we become stagnate...and start to fall behind the curve. Definitely adopting, and implementing, Taylor's skill, STAT. Tom and crew, I really like how you are including a video outline, with time-frame links, in the video description. These chapters have been a great tool. Thank you for the constant innovation, and continued contribution. Huge fan of what you are doing!

I feel Taylor's purpose for the world's betterment to providing energy and various solutions to other areas applying nuclear science. When most people focus more on getting rich and living a better life, he is one doing something for humanity in itself. He is definitely an inspiration to all people of ages concerned about solving problems that have global impact. His sense of responsibility is just immense born of his knowledge of the subject. What rings to me is that his drive is to have the "Best Impact" in what he is passionately curious about. I guess in the end that is what we all should strive for. Thanks, Taylor and Tom for having this talk that is truly inspiring!

I have seen musical shows that 2 billions hits, our young people enjoy but may not learn much from it. I truly recommend to our Taylor Wilson to combine his message with in a musical show. I picked up three important things from Taylor Wilson : 1- do as many things as I can , until I discover what I really like or love. 2- availability of energy is basis of all progresses in modern time ( which really started early 19th century). 3- Read history of things interests me and biography of people who worked in that field. I enjoyed every minute of this show, thanks to: Tom Bilyeu.

I love this guy’s passion so much! Everyone deserves to follow a career that makes them light up like this. Also his point around the lack of communication of science to the general public is such an eye opener. It’s so relevant today during the pandemic where there’s so much distrust around vaccines, as well as the effectiveness of masks/social distancing etc - if advancements in scientific knowledge were consistently communicated to the general public it would make such a difference!

It's interesting how much we value people who do one thing so much more than we value a person who does many things...at age 46, I have been asked many times why I don't focus on just one thing to be more successful, be perceived as more valuable to society. I always feel like I am focusing on one thing--my own self development, which includes a focus on business, education, patterns, stories, art, architecture, music, photography, writing, video, talk...all #voice related to me, and all seeming unrelated and so less valuable to people who look at me from outside. They don't know. ;) Great guy! Interesting talk. Thanks!

Man, I'd love to have a chat with this guy! I sometimes do other things that require very little focus at the same time that I watch videos, but I just stopped multiple times what I was doing to pay even more attention to what you guys said. I'm just glad that the interview was not about just how much of a genius he was, but how it evolved, how it turned the way it is and how he used his abilities to do something with it! I used to be as deep into astronomy as Taylor is in nuclear physics in elementary school, but I didn't have access to the internet and came from a rather poor neighborhood, so I'd read everything book I'd find on the solar system, stars, constellations, black holes, neutron stars, etc. and re-read them over and over. My parents encouraged me and told me to watch any rocket launches that would be on TV, but I never went to space camp or visited a space museum as a kid. This interest all sparked from saturday cartoons lol! Eventually, I just lost interest in school because I was not being challenged enough (I've been told more than once that the questions I asked were too advanced for my grade and that I should keep up with the curriculum) and, now in college, I give grey hair to my classmates and get the attention of the whole department without much effort, just because I'm extremely passionate about what I love. I'm in my 2nd year and my advisor already asked me if I've ever considered getting a master's degree after I've told him about my own personal research and oriented me towards some research internships. If I ever have kids and see one of them show interest to whatever field to that kind of degree, I might go as far as consider home schooling to make more space for them to search a topic to their heart's content.

Spot on!. People are so individually different in some ways, that those ways may only of been possible from them/their minds. The ability to "connect" to a central point, allows these ideas to be tried out, tested, or brain stormed. Kind of like fitting the right jigsaw into the puzzle, or creating a frankenstein monster.... 😂 we can use bits and pieces of ideas from others not thought possible.

Profound curiosity = obsession. Obsession = loving what you do. Taylor was careful to avoid becoming obsessed with distractions like social media. He kept his obsession focused on nuclear physics. He's a genius for this reason. This appears profound to most people, but we can consider many kids genius about their knowledge of cell phones. The sad thing is cell phones have become the obsession for far too many children. Taylor used them as another tool, but never let technology pull him away from his discovered interest in nuclear knowledge.

I did a lot of stuff at that age in electronics and what not in the previous generation. I made a centrifugal flytrap, etc., all kinds of things. People seem to just think I was weird (including my parents). I only regret that I gave a fuck what other people thought and said of me. But that was another generation, and it had to be worse the generations before. A lot of things I do now in electronics and software; people just don't get (but then appreciate it if they use it), there is a deep solid reason for it. I'm glad we're in the "information age" and it sounds like he had supportive people around him. Just don't give a fuck, and don't look for or make excuses. Do your thing!

The difference between Taylor and his brother Joey, according to Ken Wilber and his "Integral Theory" would be that Taylor has big aspirations;whereas, Joey seeks happiness in a broad sense. It will be interesting to watch them, and good luck to us all.

@4:50 That's hilarious how he phrased that, he said... "probably guys that weren't that much smarter than YOU". Note how he wasn't including himself in that statement lol

I'm seen Taylor before in the news, so great to see him still going at it. I wonder if Tom and the team would interview someone from LEAN startup/business like Gene Kim or Eric Ries. Their all about short cycles with feedback to gage output. seems right up Tom's ally.

Mind Blown .... can we have him for future president jijijij.... love his ability to communicate in a way that everyone can understand like he mentioned many are not able to do .... if I who has a low level of smarts and never wanted to sit and listen to anything science yet I could not pull myself away from listening to Mr. Wilson yeah he is ONE special person who can be that bridge that is soo needed giving life and excitement to others to join the movement of invention and curiosity again. Kudos.

your response alone has me so juiced!!!! i literally screenshotted and sent it to my bf haha he knows all about ur channel since i became obsessed with it last fall semester at uni. I can't wait to continue to follow and grow alongside your journey. ive been telling at least one person a day since last year (subconsciously when i sense another person's same level of mental potential to gain continuous clarity and grow and learn in their own lives as I aim to do). I truly hope to be in the room during an ep and/or perhaps even a guest on your show, one day. Have a great evening Tom, and stay legendary ❤️🔥✨
