I'm not a person for censoring comics, but I honestly find that a lot of jokes are not funny. A lot of times when they joke about things like some of these accusations, I find it unnecessary. No solid proof has ever come out on Cosby and a lot of the accused came from a time when a lot of people were doing a lot of weird stuff. In some ways a lot of people have helped spread misinformation. A lot of people believe Cosby admitted to the accusations. He actually didn't. What he admitted was that back in the day they used drugs when they had sex. I can understand joking after the fact, but some of comedians cause almost as much damage as these unresearched documentaries.
@teewhite7061

I'll say this. A lot of these guys work in the same circle and they're either down with you or not like a popularity contest. I see some of these guys and girls out a lot in the NY. They protect their own. The truth doesn't even matter, it's what's popular. Chris Rock is good friends with Louis CK. When all of Louis CK sexual harassment accusers came out Chris still took Louis CK side. No jokes about Louis CK in his latest special. But then he brings up a BS accusation about Michael Jackson even though Jacksons 4 accusers have all been discredited. Hannibal hangs with plenty of comics who have sexual harassment charges against them, guys from the comedy scene, SNL, etc. They all protect their own. There are black comics who don't do the black rooms, they feel it isn't their style, audience etc. I could drop names, there's a few who are getting famous that years ago rolled their eyes about doing the black rooms and calling out other black comics as hacks. I'm not necessarily taking up for Cosby - he made his own bed, but it's low hanging fruit. Alot of them influenced by their white peers, white media social circles etc and they roll with that tide so that they get their props in Vanity Fair, the BBC, Oprah or whoever else pats them on the back.

@@marcusjones1110 a lot of these peeps are on here. I don't want to drop any names. Besides, even if you drop facts it'll get pushed to the bottom anyway. Its just that you don't know what to believe or what's being fabricated and what's being exposed and hushed. My cousin worked with tabloids and news outlets in the 90's and parts of the 2000's. She also worked with independent journalist, reporters and such. She said it was so easy to spread lies, they would pay people to make things up or pay people to tarnish reputations, the facts didn't matter, just what makes them the most money. This was before blogs, twitter, etc which it's even easier now. Same thing happens in politics happens in the entertainment world. And the point is it's main motive is financial. That writer, editor or whoever that writes a scandalous article about some big entertainer - they didn't do much research except for what was fed to them by an unverified source and it snowballs. And they do it because it's profitable. So then you have your entertainers shying away from this artist for fear that it'll blackball their career or reputation especially if that artist career starts to tank. But yet those same entertainers are riding the wave of another entertainer with well known drama...because his/her career is still on the rise and no one is making a big deal out of the issue - yet. I could speak way more on this, my cousin told me things that I knew but other things that made me shake my head in anger.

My problem with Hannibal is he told the joke as if it were a fact before we got all the details of the allegations. Hannibal had nothing other than 'accusation' information and used that to call Bill a rapist. That to me is dangerous. RKelly is the only celebrity who we truly know did the things he did. I still don't know what to think about the Cosby allegations. I know his lawyer basically said that he did not get a fair trial, that part I believe. But Hannibal didn't disappear. I think IMO his comedy got more stale and that early day success of being a new guy with a different angle to his style is what catapulted him so fast but then it became stale. He blew up in the predominantly white Chicago alt scene.

The media is selling us their financially motivated accusations over the fact that the FBI, Sheriffs, police, court documents, agencies and witnesses couldn't find a thing to substantiate any, not a single allegation. And yet we buy into it.

But he was charged, convicted and send to prison for raping 3 other woman, he just got very Lucky his connection with an other judge and being Able to afford the best lawers they found a loophool in the law to get him free and couldn’t be charged for the same crime again even though hé was proven guilty, after that he’s been found guilty. For an other case even involved with a 16year old found guilty and had to pay $650.000. His been proven guilty multiple times there’s no debating about hé did it or not. So many, too many people more upset with Hannibal Buress over the joke about Bill Cosby's actions than you are actually upset with Bill Cosby for assaulting women. No scratch that, y'all more upset Hannibal Buress said something and now we couldn't bury our heads in the sand anymore. Because Bill Cosby made a joke about this in 1969. I never heard one credible woman. Rumor, innuendo doesn't make it fact. Hard to believe that ALL of those women were "too afraid" to come forward until Constand? Women came for Bill Clinton and Don Trump hell women tried to come for MJ back in the day. I'm sure Cosby wasn't the only one talking about Spanish fly 50 years ago. 🤨 Didn't Jerry Lee Lewis marry his teenage cousin back in the day. Times have changed.

No. The problem is that he so easily shitted on another black man, despite there being no proof of guilt and proof of false allegations. At that point, multiple victims were proven liars. What happened to them? Nothing. He didn't abuse those women. They wanted the drugs, their lives didn't pan out how they thought it would, and they were getting revenge for being side chicks. It's no different than the regret most porn actresses have post-wall. Notice. Few of those women were married or in a serious committed relationship because nobody wanted them, and the trials uncovered their questionable lives. He once joked about his secret BBQ sauce...the joke hasn't aged well but "love potions" have been a thing for thousands of years. In modern times, we call it "Viagra, Cialis, Levetra, etc.'
