Moving in and living together depends on a person I think. From my experience, usually westerners go steps very quickly (like dating, kissing, sleeping, living together) all things happen within a few months. (I used to study in London and based on my experience) Asians are usually slow on that. I got dumped by 2 boyfriends (one Italian, one Korean) because I didn’t move in. But my Italian and Russian friend like things slowly and take time. So don’t know. Depends on a person and have to negotiate each other. As now I’m living and working in bkk for 3 years, many thai girls, my thai friends and colleagues are really proud of having white boyfriends. I don’t like that culture tho.

For foreigners, you can work in leading hotels in Thailand. The more you can speak Thai, the better. There are 10 or more jobs that you can do except for jobs reserved for Thais.

Great video, I was wondering what was Roman doing in Germany for work before coming to Thailand. 🤔I watched his video all there is about is trying out street food in Thailand. I also wonder if Roman is dodging the military draft by coming to Thailand because of the war in Ukraine.

Imo YOU MUST learn the national language to LIVE in the country I am from Brazil, I speak English, but I am in a small percentage of people who are able to speak Enlgish you need some Portuguese skills here But I feel that even if I had a jog opportunity in a country like Sweden or Germany I would want to learn the national language, to integrate better in the society Anyway learning languages is fun, I speak English and Italian Thai seems really heard, I have a basic level in Korean, but it's not a tonal language, and the alphabet is simple

Hi Sam I really enjoy your videos❤❤❤ I’m really curious about how you make money to support your life in Thailand besides making YT videos. I’m currently preparing for land a 9-5 job in Bangkok which offers work permit but this is gonna take a long time, is there any other creative and practical way to have a solid income to support daily life there?

Thanks for the video, last year, I lived in the Jomtien area close to Pattaya for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week and not buying any lady drinks and barfines. Been eating Thai foods in the market not western food. I was planning to retire but changed my mind in the last minute. In my early 50's now and back to work in CA. Will do this again, next year.

Good interview, however "ladyboys" are actually Keytoye and thailand has 18 genders culturally. In the west, people who are not binary gender aren't labeling themselves as something they are not, that's a fiction about gender, as it wasn't formal in the west until the 19th century. You can learn about that European history in a book Called : The Biopolitics of Feeling, Race, Sex and Gender in the 19th century by Kyla Schular. "ladyboys" are used to westerners not learning the culture deeply so they just smile and tolerate it. But normally by western gender ideals they are transgender women or belong to the spectrum of women. Hope that helps.
