That turned out really well for you. Nice little nugget there. That's just good business since. In a perfect world it would be nice to hold on to it for that custom job that might come up or your own stuff but in your situation it obviously made more sense to do what you did that Baler basically bought other equipment for you and you got to use it and see if you liked it.

Wise decision in my opinion and it fits very comfortably with the altering priorities in your business.

That's a crazy deal. Good job on that. We run a 2150, had 4760, 4755, and 4750. They were all good balers. Also have ran a 2270. The four foot bale chamber feeds faster and they are a little faster to load, but the 3 x 3 are so convenient of a size.

We bought a krone 1270 done 1000 of our own. 4000 contracting. It payed itself and thinking of selling it as the main person we do the 4000 bales for has sold up. Bought a welger round baler 5 years ago. Sold it last year half way through the season for the same price we bought it for. Bought a krone round baler near new did 2500 bales half a season. Paid for itself already.

A wheel loader would be so nice around your feed yard. Big difference between tractor loader and an actual loader. Like the difference between a pull type swather and self propelled swather.

Sowerscattleco you will not regret a wheel loader, but not just the comfort, traction, speed, power. In financial sense, a $30,000 wheel loader will last a feedlot about 30 years, a $60,000 tractor/loader will never last half that long in a feedlot. Wheel loaders were built to run 12 hour days in a gravel pit for many years, feedlot work isn't near as much wear and tear.

Mark Groth hey man sorry for my ignorance but I’m just getting started on farming. What is a tractor loader and a wheel loader?
@markgroth4380
6 жыл бұрын
David Lamb a wheel loader, also called a payloader is your typical yellow colored machine with 4 equal sized tires and cab in the middle, lift arms and bucket in front with engine in back. A tractor/loader is a normal farm tractor with an attachment of lift arms and bucket bolted to the front.

Good job, it is ok to turn a dollar every once in a while. I would like to buy an old 4x4 for rotary straw. My neighbor was at an auction sale and bought an old 4x4 for $7000 and he has baled 100,000 bales with it and just normal maintenance, he said it was the best purchase he has ever done, and he only bought it because it was cheap and for it to be a spare. My loader tractor has cost me plenty to run and it would be better to just buy a pay loader with a grapple, and I'm sure it would make even more sense for you.

AndersonCattleCo. Yeah I think I'll find and older machine and just put parts into it. For 500 bales of straw a year I dont need a new one

Usually when I see a deal I know it, but I sleep on it a day and it's usually gone. I've scored on a few items but usually I choke like a dog.

You know if you waxed that baler and made six videos a day you could afford to buy another and have two big balers
